Books you think everyone should read before they die...

if you are in love read The Great Gatsby by f. scott fitzgerald
I've been trying to write down a good explanation for the book but i can only come up with a few words (non-spoilers):
deep (nonsexual) passion
ruminate
dream
years away from a lover

Yes! I also loved The Way of The Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman. Don't watch the movie though, I heard it was fail.

This was a book I needed to read in my early twenties. I was still into fiction then, and my girlfriend at the time let me read her copy.

It changed my perspective on life in so many ways.

It didn't all sink in at once, but a little over a decade later and I really feel in tune with the spirit of this book--most of the time.

:)

I don't recall that. My copy is in storage!

I don't think I've actually read that copy either.

heh!

The prince....machavelli.
Shake Hands with the Devil. Lt.Gen Romeo Dallaire.
then tell me the peaceful warrior, 331 unarmed men to stop a genocide, is a better path then a armoured bde with two arty bats and an SOF detachment in support.

on the road - kerouac, all time fave dharma bums was good also

mans search for meaning - victor frankl, wow this book was unbelievable at the time of reading

the electric kool aid acid test - tom wolfe
