Yeaaa... rehab what a place. Cant even remember how many times ive been to Detox, but ive only been to one rehab. It was a 6 month inpatient Salvation Army program in Phoenix. A great place, depending on your perspective. Its completely free, but you have to work for them 40+ hours a week in order to stay. Its not as intensive as most other rehabs, but there are 12step meetings every night, and class's throughout the week on religion and chemical dependency. I was just wondering how many other people have gone through Rehab, either In or Outpatient, and what effect did it have on you? Me personally it didnt do much, ive gone through the steps, done all the footwork, and still i cant stop. Im not on the skag anymore, well for right now atleast, but im still always thinking about my next high whatever it might be. :\

Went once dont really have an addiction problem just got caught with some shit and the courts sent me. Learned a lot of things but i cant stand the brainwashing AA bullshit. Had to stay 42 days for that crap. I got stoned as soon as i left the parking lot.

Me. It was fabulous. Palm Beach Florida. We had a 4 star chef and I gained 25lbs.
$35k a month and worth every penny. Stayed clean for, well since rehab.

Yeah I went to a dope rehab in Newport Beach, CA. Had an apt on the beach and biked around all day chasin tail. Good times except for the kicking.

I have never been because i don't do drugs8)
I have been arrested a few times for drugs but all i got were fines, no probation, no drug court, no rehab. Yeah fuck rehab, time to do my morning shot!=D

option 5 dont count as rehab IMO,since when i thnk of rehab i think inpatient, beds, staying there, etc. BUT, I had to include it to avoid the ppl who only done IOP fuckin up the poll by voting for one of the inpatient options cuz they felt like voting no would be lying and didnt know wat to choose. and becuz the op asked about outpatient so obviouly he was interested in that info.

By the way, i aint never heard of no residential rehab that will let u in without bein detoxed first, but i figured some places is crazy like that, so i made a option for rehab without detox, even tho im guessin anybody that ever stayed in a long(er) term program been to detox aswell. I could fuck the poll up an make it real complicated, like detox only, 7-14 days, 14-28 days, 3-6 mos, 6-12 mos, and 1 year or more, so if yall would prefer a poll like that post in here and let me know and i will make it more in depth but i figured for now these options was good enough. :)

I have never been in detox, rehab, outpatient substance abuse counseling, or NA.

I detox myself, and need not hear others opinions.

I've been to what is essentially AA, or "NA" to be more technical. I was completely unaware at the time that it is really just foreplay before you're supposed to let Jesus give you a giant golden shower while people have religion-gasms en masse while watching. It was a bit more complicated than that, in that I had to take drug tests and really involved stuff, but it was all outpatient. It was voluntary, and by the time I figured out first hand what it was all about, I got the fuck out of there.

Lord I've been through this a bit. Been to the detox in my county so many times that before it closed they wouldn't let me come back and been to rehab three times. I've also done a lot of outpatient stuff such as AA/NA, drug therapy, etc... Guess I just wasn't ready to change.

been to a detox facility twice.
first one was 21 days because of heroin, benzos and alcohol.
took me about 7 months to get fully hooked again.
had a 1year long run with heroin. had to go to detox
again and got put on methadone.
my doc sends all his mmt patients there so they
wont relapse within the first days. they also figure out
the right dosage for you.

Im going to detox again in a few hours

last time I was in detox I was a fuckhead though
I had my buddys bring me in shit through my window after placing orders with my smuggled in cellphone, i was selling pints to the alcoholics, pills to the heads, everything, got kicked out in less then 24 hours last time

im going this time cuiz my womans preggers and im trying to get clean

Been to detox twice, never rehab.
First time was cool, it was for people under 21 and was so chilled out, they took us to the zoo and horse riding and shit like that ;)

The second time was fucking terrible, I was so sick but the nurse would not believe me and told me I was just stressed - kept throwing valiums at me. I left early and went to the hospital and found out I had chemical burns in my throat and lungs from smoking bad stuff :|

Both times got on again about an hour after leaving.

oh i clicked the wrong one fuck

slay wat option did you mean to click and wat one did you actually click? i can edit the poll to fix your vote for you if you want.

Also, If you have went to NA meetings only, that dont count as rehab. That aint a outpatient program. When I say outpatient as a option , it means a program you go to, drop piss for them, get some kind of counseling or watever, they may prescribe u meds, A example would be a Methadone clinic where they require you to piss X amount of times weekly and attend counseling sessions. Or, a IOP ( intensive outpaitent) program that is at a local hospitals rehab or detox ward, where you go after you complete your inpateint rehab. Shit, I should of put a option for people who been thru a inpatient program, and then continued doing IOP after they finished the inpatient part. If anybody wants that option post in here and let meknow and I will put it in there and add your votes for you.

MICA (Mentally Ill Chemically Addicted) rehabs are pretty great. Went to one in bradford, PA and it was swell.. I used to do it all, i guess i was a poly drug user. Big heroin/klonopin booting addiction for a while that I finally feel recovered from sort of.. I learned a lot about myself from the addiction and the mental health standpoint. 12 groups a day exersizing, 1:1 every day with a doctor and another with a counselor or two. It was a max capacity of 18 i think, so individual attention was helpful.

Detoxed 4 times in the bunch of years

I am 19 and its been 10 months and I still have not done anything but MDMA and marijuana habitually :)

I did outpatient three days a week for 4 years and n/a meetings on and off during that time period.... I guess that time and money/health insurance went to really good use hahah.
The first time I smoked weed after not smoking it for 6 years, was the craziest high with the greatest munchies ever lol.

been to intensive outpatient rehab, but it wasn't for drugs

edit- title changed after I posted this, disregard..

Been to court-mandated outpatient, as well as 72 hour inpatient detox after a rather shitty experience with 10mg lorazepam and too much dxm where the cops got called cause I knocked on my neighbor's door at 6 am and told him my entire family just got murdered. I "escaped" later on during the first day lol.
