I know, it's a sin isn't it?

The problem is that I never have any one to go with. My dad always says that he has no interest. Maybe I should try to get my mom go with me. :)

It's hard being 25 and having hardly anyone at all to ride with on a regular basis.

Wrecked my Seca II 600 last summer, drunk. Lost my license. I'm currently finishing my masterpiece on a 900 frame, naked w/carbon fiber where necessary, +4" modified swingarm, shorter sprockets (should top out 155-164). The original 600 has been bored, stroked, port/polish, jetted, carb has been replaced with high-cfm race setup, 4 to 1 unmuffled, forged internals and running race gas. I have an ethanol kit but not putting it on yet. I also have a small turbo lying around, when I want to go totally nuts my engine and fuel system is ready to bolt it on!!!

I took the bare frame out to the local 1/4 and 1/2 mile backroads, and boy! I was with a gsxr 750, a cbr600rr, a cbr 954, an R6 and an R1. Let me tell you, my seca was a slow-ass commuter bike before, couldn't even pace a newer 600. That day though, I smoked the gsxr, cbr6 AND got the R6 by a couple lengths.... and I was amazed that I could run with the bigger bikes, if not take them in a 1/4. I'm estimating that my bike must now make ~120-130hp to be able to do what it does, close to double the original 70hp!!

When I finish and and detail the frame I'll post a pic, maybe I will have put the turbo on by then..... the shop thinks I can reliably run 160-170hp and ~200!!! If I set up the ethanol! Happy riding!

^ sounds like a beast! 8o

yay, i got out on my bike for the first time in months last week. i had to call out my auto-recovery service to get her going again on saturday, but thankfully it was only the clutch microswitch that had come loose, d'oh!

took the girlfriend out on the back for the first time yesterday and she absolutely loved it, yay! the weather was perfect for it, and we took a run around the coast here.

so now it's all systems go to start planning Euro bike trip number 3, woo-hoo! can't wait. %)

My husband and I just bought a new bike.

That's my husband on the bike 2 days after we got it.

I loveee it! It's a 2009 Suzuki GSX-R 600 in White. It's truly an awesome toy for summer :)

And there is just something getting off the back of the bike taking my helmet off that makes me feel like such a badass when everyone is looking at you pull up. That is a rush in itself =D

and a baseball bat.

and then a new friend. :D

I couldn't have said it better myself. =D

One of the riders I rode with on Saturday offered to let me take his Harley Davidson Softail for a ride, I declined. I'm not confident to take someone else's $10,000 + bike for a ride.

I did find this hot little item though, it would be nice if $20,000 just appeared in my bank account so that I could buy it =D

I want a bike!!! >_< But I think I'm too small for one. =(

^^

Have you ever sat on a motorcycle before? You would be surprised at what you can handle. I never thought I would be able to get my 800 off the kickstand when my dad was talking about selling it to me and now I'm looking at 1200 cc+. Don't sell yourself short missy ;) I recommend sitting on a lot of different kinds of bikes and getting a feel for what feels good for you.

My ex took the MSF course and learned how to ride on a 250cc. We bought her an 883cc sportster hugger as a first bike. The seat height is under 27" and can be lowered even further if you want. Riding a motorcycle is not as hard as you might think. But I recommend taking the MSF course. You'll learn some good riding skills and be confidant when you hit the roads! :)

So I've caved on the windshield. I think I would really like one. I'm looking to pick up a used one off of a motorcycle site that I belong to. I really want a set of speakers with an MP3 player hookup so I can listen to my I pod touch while I'm out an about, I think the windshield would be good to protect them and I also like the way that the windshield sort of keeps the speakers out of the way, I won't have to mount them near my mirrors. I'm asking for a set of motorcycle speakers and an amp for my birthday (which is just a couple weeks away!!)

I was thinking of this one or this one. Either way, you can't beat the price.

I am a little sketched out about powering it to the battery and running wires. Not my area of expertise. My husbands friend is really good with electronics, I might see if he would help me.

Either of those look like good choices if what you really want is to listen to music whilst you're out riding. I prefer to listen instead to the sounds of the road. And I have a windshield, but I only put it on if I'm going on a long multi-day trip. If I'm out riding on a beautiful sunny day, I prefer to feel the wind, enjoy the scenery and smell the flora. Running the wires shouldn't be too difficult, but dressing them and mounting the unit so it looks like it was done professionally may take some patience. Good luck with it!

So, I was at the dealer's today putting the last payment on a Kawasaki Vulcan 500, when she talked me into a Ninja 650R for just $600 more. I should be breaking the engine in by the end of next week, and probably voting "yes" shortly after that. Will be alerting the local hospitals as well.
