Lidocaine?

Aside from creating euphoria, coke is a great local anesthetic. If you snort a bit before doing some 2C-x, for example, you'll experience pretty much no pain (if you've ever snorted a 2C-x you know how much that means). But coke is expensive, and I figure for things like this lidocaine might make more sense since it's a lot cheaper, but I don't know much about its safety and the like, and Wikipedia and Google don't seem to either, at least not in any reference related to dosages. Anyone ever use lidocaine for this purpose? What sorts of doses start to cause health concerns? Would using procaine (novocaine) or benzocaine instead be safer or more effective? I haven't found anywhere to buy them as a pure powder (as I have lidocaine), but I've really only been looking for lidocaine. Any other advice?

I don't think too many people are going to bother snorting lignocaine so they can snort painful drugs.

You don't need powder... just use lignocaine solution. Start with a low dose and go from there. High doses can cause cardiovascular issues, but if you are just using a small amount of liquid to numb your nose it'll be fine.

Thanks for the reply... But why do you suggest using a solution? Regardless of how I would administer it, I would be purchasing it in powder form, so if that was your concern it won't make any kind of difference. It seems to me like the easiest and most effective way to prevent the pain of snorting other substances would be to snort a little line of lidocaine first, as I would imagine it would be most likely to stick to (and likewise numb) the same area as the primary drug if used in that fashion. With a liquid, on the other hand, I would imagine it would sort of spread all over the place a bit more and focus less pain relief on the important area while still putting the same undesired amount of lidocaine into the blood.

If you are planning on sniffing it, it will more then likely irritate your nose. When you have really cut coke (caffiene, lidocaine, manitol, glucse) it really irritates your nose. Getting rid of a clogged nose is the worst IMO. Just becareful, you could hurt yourself. Especially with your nose/face being so numb.

Chloraseptic throat spray contains benzocaine, so I don't think lidocaine would harm your throat in any way. The duration of the numbness might be different (longer or shorter) and the dose required might be different as well.

Put it this way: the drip from cocaine numbs your throat for a while, but it doesn't harm you, so the drip from lidocaine isn't going to be any worse.

Swallowing lidocaine won't cause any serious issues. I mean, unless you're drinking the shit by the gallons, but I doubt it.

If you have GI problems in the hospital, they give you something called a "GI cocktail" which contains lidocaine to number your throat/mouth/intestines. So yes, small amounts are safe to swallow.

As for applying it to your nose, I would just stick your finger in the liquid, then rub it on the inside of your nostrils.

No. Lidocaine will NOT get you high. It's just an anesthetic.

I was recently gargling lidocane due to a sore throat. It numbed my throat and made it difficult to breath while I was asleep! I kept having nightmares that I was drowning/suffocating; not fun!
