It makes me so mad. i can't even show my ankles and at this rate i wonder if i am even going to have legs by the time i am 60. So think about that. Do you want decaying body parts because your blood can''t flow right anymore? I really wouldn't wish this on anyone. Sorry for the drama but I am serious. Ulcers are no joke, they are impossible to get rid of. So please please take care of yourself. Get some fresh points, that is way more important than the cotton issue. Okay, sorry for the length, I haven't told anyone about this so it's sort of therapeutic for me I guess. Anyway, best of luck.

hm i would order them over that newfangled thing those kids these day call the interwebs but i think my parents will be suspicious when i get a package with needles delivered! I think I'll try calling pharmacies. I'm too lazy to go to the city.

is it weird that sometimes my hand is tingly for days at a time? I think my veins are fucked up and not letting blood thru..ohhh nooesss!
 
:XThat list says Virginia does nor require a RX for pins. Last summer I was in serious need of some so I went to 3 pharmacies and asked for insulin syringes and everytime tha pharmacist would look at me like I was less than shit and every one of them asked me for a script. One even threatened to call the police and kicked me out. I went to one other pharmacy and asked for a bag of 100unit syringes. Told the pharmacist that I take vitamin B12 shots everyday. Same shit. "Where's your script?" Does anyone know if it was legal for them to not give me the syringes even if state legislation says I do not need a script.

BTW- I had no idea that I didn't need a script last summer when I did this. I just need some rigs badly and thought that I could convince at least one pharmacist to give mt the fuckers.
 
^ I'm pretty sure that a pharmacist can use his discretion on what to dole and what not too. Don't quote me, but I think this is the case.

thank you for your story. I am sorry to hear about the ulcers. Maybe you should inform your doctor about your past - perhaps they might be able to treat things better with a full history? I know that is hard on many levels, but.... It just may prevent you from being an amputee. =/

However, I am a bit confused - you say you had no marks, but you had to switch to your arms from your legs, because you no longer had leg veins to hit.
In my circumstance, I can still go in all the same places I always go. Actually, this includes about 3-5 places, 2-3 on each arm. No marks, no problems. And I never went in my legs, i cannot even imagine trying to find a vein there. Actually, I have tried, unsuccessfully.

So....... Does this not count for me then? I don't know.

I have an interesting bit of information that my graduate physiology professor told us. He said they discovered crystals in the corpses of IV heroin users' lungs ....and I think he also said brains. I wonder if it would be too obvious to email him out of the blue, 2 years later, asking him to clarify this for me? Haha But, I do not know what the implications of having these crystals are.... If it in any way affects human performance or living? I wish i could find the article(s).

Anyone else ever hear this? If so, do you know where I can research it further? If not, anyone want to try to email this professor and ask? haha

^ Well Ketamine is known to crystalise in the body (bladder/kidney/liver?). So I 'spose it's possible with Heroin. I would have thought it would have been common knowledge by now though..
 
ew whenever i think of nasty absesses i always think of jared leto when he loses his arm in requiem for a dream ugh. ssscccaarrrrryyy shit. I think i may try that vet site to order some needles...great idea!
 
cotton fever is a bitch, I'd put it on par with W/D's, the aching and shit sucks.

but i still save my cottons. I only ever feel anything from them though if I get like 8 or 10... I might get well for an hour or two with less but theres no rush or "high" to speak of.
 
NJ has a needle exchange program i just went to Paterson the other day and got some needles for free, didnt have to exchange nothing, Well if you need pins head to paterson they are giving them out for free no questions asked! good luck
 
Ok, so i took someone's advice who PM'ed me on here - and purchased pins from GPZ Services. 100 for like $40 + s&h/whatever.

However, the suggested points of purchase were 1cc 29g x 1/2" -- and every single time------------my shot ends up infiltrating. I am sorry to say, but as i have mentioned already in this thread -my old old old pin was an absolute. Never had an infection or marks or Any Issues At All and i never missed a shot.

These new pins won't even let me pull the plunger back to see when i hit the vein (with more confidence), they have a weird suction to them. They are rather large. And when i think i have hit the vein and push it all into me....then it burns! I was getting blood in the barrel, i don't get it!! =b

*sigh*

anyone know how to eliminate the weird/powerful suction of these new rigs?
 
I knew a junkie that would save all his cottons up and then use them to prepare shots for curious teenagers. It certainly got them high and they would say it was a 'good kick'. What a fucking cunt. God only knows what diseases he was spreading and he couldn't care less.
 
I'm pretty sure that they have a needle exchange in Trenton, as well as one of the above posters mentioned in Patterson. I personally am not an IV user but a buddy of mine who used to IV dope told me that he used to take a ride up to Trenton to a needle exchange there.

have you tried using the same one a couple times? that used to happen to me with just new rigs that i bought from the pharmacy. i guess the newness. and of course, picking another one out of the bag to use gives you the same result with that, so you just have to put up with it for awhile...just moving the plunger up and down helped loosen them up quite a bit (obviously not while it's in your arm or filled with drugs).

also, do you know if anything about your dope has changed? that can cause burning...also if you're pushing it in too fast, that always fucking hurt to me.
