Video Game: Batman: Arkham Asylum

newest of the batman video games. this one is based off the comics, and looks to incorporate true batman style sneak and attack combat as well as focusing a lot more on the "worlds greatest detective" aspect.
the game starts with batman delivering the joker to arkham asylum, only to find out that the joker wanted to be captured so he could wreak havok inside.
some confirmed baddies include a seriously demented riddler and killer croc.

this could turn out to be one hell of a game. im pretty sure id read that there will be some rpg-like skill trees to level up. the game takes place exclusively in the asylum.

that looks pretty awesome. about 70% into the vid there is a short gameplay scene that makes it look like you can see the infrared locations of the bad guys a la the technology they introduced in the dark knight. So it looks like this game will have some bang to go along with its flash. I'm looking forward to it and will definitely get it for PC. Hopefully the fighting AI is good and the combat system is cool. The plot setup is awesome, and there will definitely be some very cool puzzles and traps in this game since Joker has control of the whole asylum. If they do things right, there might be a sense of scariness too although I doubt it will be done correctly if the development team is American. But it definitely looks like it will be an awesome action game.

I like the name Arkham Asylum. Im one of the few ppl who thought that dark knight sucked. So hopefully this is good.

Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy returning as the voices for the joker and batman from the animated series, this sounds awesome

I still think Hamill is the best joker.

best use of a media franchise to make an excellent single player game. The combat is flawless, the puzzles arent impossible, but make you think. the story is simple but the acting(namely the mark hamil) makes it something spectacular.

the only thing i didnt like is how games spoon feed the players, they do make you think, but especially in boss situations. if they beat you, the game suggests a way to beat them immediately, they shouldve waited till like 10 deaths before they throw it at you. one death and youre like "oh yea im retarted thats what i had to do"

they mention mr freeze, you get to see clayface, harley quinn. they reference penquin and catwoman also.
oracle is in it, but shes a good guy.
