IN, Indianapolis - 04.04.09 Saturday - DJ Colette

the sound isn't wicked badass, it is a smaller venue, and the drinks are standard northside club prices. just throwing that out there so that maybe i wont have to read it all over again. and yes, good chances are that you may be the only dirty jaded raver in the building.

if you can get over these things, it will be a awesome night of house music supplied by myself, chl, and colette.

i'll be playing mostly donk btw

pre-emptive admission of deficiencies is not protection from ridicule.

Ditto! I'll throw bows with you!
But my flask might have to have something other then patron in it. ;)

I'll have what you're having.

i'm sure nobody was going to this to hear me play some jams, but i'm no longer booked for this, instead i'll be at 45 downtown.

last time she played at blu martini it sucked. tons of douches in ed hardy shirts and NO ROOM to even contemplate dancing.

still might go though.

This was exactly the problem. Colette was amazing and her voice is so great, but the crowd didn't seem interested in dancing whatsoever. I got tired of feeling like I was standing in the middle of a crowded hallway and eventually left. Too bad, her set at Blu was better than her set at Gelo last year.

Did I see you there?!

Yeah, she said she was a little disappointed that nobody was dancing... Maybe sideTrack should throw an event there and we'll all show the place how to dance!?

She played fantastically! And yes, The Ed Hardies were not caring at all how much she's worth dancing to her tunes!

I was in a red threadless shirt with my white hat. I didn't see you, but that place WAS packed. I don't believe I saw anyone I recognized. I stayed in the vicinity of the dancefloor for most of the night to try and hopefully spark some life into the crowd, but it was pretty futile. I got frustrated and left halfway during her set. :\

Also, I can't speak from experience, but it looked like she was also having trouble with the monitors, so you may want to check that out. CHL should know what's up.

the booth monitor there isn't too great and if they had to use the pio 600 instead of the 800 she might have been dealing with some feedback issues.
