Bluelight weekly photography contest Round 120: Traffic

This looksl ike a clear winner to me. How did you get do that? The way the light hits the plant is awesome, along with the trails by the cars.

Well i had my tripod set up on like a high wall of mine, and used the bulb control on my camera to blur the image to my liking. It is a very well lit area because of the street lights and so on. :)

harley-where is that picture taken? What does SAFLE BWS mean?

Its taken right outside my house, i live on a main road. So there is plenty of cars, luckily my final exam for my photography course is on opulence and im doing a sub topic of cars, roads and traffic :) I don't know what SAFLE BWS means??

Panning, using a slow shutter speed (1/25 sec) and tracking the moving subject as the shot is taken. The blur is caused by the camera movement yet the car is (relatively) sharp because it stays in the same place in the frame. I was just playing around when I stopped on a long drive for a stretch and some pot :)

The clarity of those colours is something:)

What do you use?

I dont remember if this was with my Sony or my Panasonic point and shoot, probably the Sony. I crank up the "vivid mode" and use "cloudy" white balance a lot. This really warms the pictures up a TON. Usually I shoot with a Nikon D300.
