Piracetam Powder/

This is a sleep aid for sale, I know a lot the things it has in it are real but what do you guys think about it?

Sleep Aid

Sleep Aid Key Ingredients

Chamomile Flower
Melatonin
Tryptophan
Valerian Root
GABA
Passion Flower
Hops
Griffonia Seed

Girlfriend gave me a sleep aid with similar ingredients. Worked great.

I thought piracetam was supposed to make you more alert, give you more energy etc, ie the exact opposite of a sleep aid? Are you sure that was it?

I barely ever go in for herbal remedies, etc. - or at least I think I'm pretty resistant to the placebo effect which sells many of them. A couple of these that I have opinions on:

valerian root: not effective at all for me
chamomile: ditto

trytophan: probably mildly effective
melatonin: shockingly effective for me (stronger than many drugs at basic doses). Only works if it's about time for bed give or take. Need to lie down and let it work. Becomes totally ineffective if used more than uncommonly or within days of previous dose.

Just my personal observations. imo it'll probably work but probably just because of the melatonin - i'd guess it's a a higher margin way to sell melatonin. Try getting it by itself, it really works (2-3 nights a month ballpark)

I've found that melatonin (wich i currently take to help me sleep) works wonders,
Tryptophan also helps me get a better nights sleep, but only has mild noticable effects.

as for the others, i haven't tried/don't recall, so couldn't really tell you sorry.

i think that if you have a serious sleeping disorder... those sleeping aids are useless.. they might be natural, healthy, placebo, whatever, but when it comes down to it, I personnally need a hypnotic benzo combined with a sedative anti-histamine and a neuroleptic to sleep more normally....

As we speak I'm on my second day without sleep. Seeing those spots of light, nodding out, voices. Second time in the last seven days I've gone two days. Thats four out of seven days without sleep. Even though I'm switching psychs (not just for the sleep issue) I don't think he will prescribe me a hypnotic benzodiazepine. I'm on 4mg of Clonazepam daily along with Lyrica for RLS. When asking if there were a non antipsychotic sleep aid like Temazepam, which I've told has always worked great in the past, my last psychiatrists response was "well, the two drugs are too chemically structured". Which is true but I'd gladly reduce my Clonazepam and Lyrica dose for a script of Temazepam. I was prescribed the two plenty of times in the past for when situations got this bad. Took an hour to type this.

Have and tried something similar and it didnt seem to help much, nothing does for this insomnia! ARGH! But for all of the research I have done on the net the "active" ingredients are "supposedly" helpful wd aids. I dunno. Thanks for letting me share ;)

Most of those ingredients are bunk...

But melatonin works better than anything I've ever tried.

3mg melatonin and a beer and I'm unconscious in a damn hurry.
