Average time for complete serotonin replenishment for average person? any hard data?

I'm not asking about the "magic" returning, since there are so many other variables for that.

But is there any kind of Baseline information on how fast the Average brain can manufacture serotonin. Or even mice brains? (I'm assuming the only way to measure is post-mortem...

Not anecdotes, but any neuro-biological info that can be linked?

Not sure this kind of data even exists, but maybe someone knows a different kind of forum they could direct me to where it could be asked.
 
What are you trying to find out?

From food -> serotonin i don't think it takes that long.. maybe a couple of hours?

But if my spidey senses are correct.. you care more about the upregulation of 5-ht receptor sites.. which can take months.

The information on that page suggests 3 - 4 weeks after a one off moderate dose.

Bleh don't listen to what the DEA says.

The time can vary around what is being suggested here but you can probably do things to help hasten the process. Exercise, good diet and nootropics are high up on the list...

I'd also not look too far into the mouse data as it is after all mouse data.

Let us not confuse the amount of time it takes 5-ht nuerons to upregulate and the safe window for repeated dosing. While it may be 2 -4 weeks for upregulation the widely accepted window for usage is no more than once every 3 months if you do not want to suffer major cognitive impairment or risk long term psychiatric disorders.

Also I have to say the hard data is fairly irrelevant because factors such as genetics, diet, physical health, age, co-morbid conditions, current medications, etc. will significantly impact recovery time. As will poly drug abuse which most all of us take part in.

Does anyone ever get the feeling they have too much serotonin in their brains? Like after you use X for a few weekends and then abstain for a few weeks, you can sort of feel the serotonin build back up and you get desires to get rid of it again? I sometimes feel like this happens to me. Perhaps a better analogy to use to would be to say the mind feels more energetic. Almost too energetic.

That's not to say I would feel lethargic after use, maybe for a day & good night's rest at most, but after you know what it's like to have a full serotonin system (ie, my entire life growing up) and an empty serotonin system (ie, after a good month or two of use which didn't happen until age 22-23), you can notice the two states more readily.

Maybe you can call it a form of addiction heh. However to compare I've felt the addiction of coke, and it's different from anything X ever causes. I also think my DXM abuse in high school did worse to me than X recently or probably ever will. I was getting these uncomfortable tingles down my spine for a year or two after I finally got myself to stop doing that shit every week. Plus the burnout factor. Damn that was a long time ago... jeez... I think I still remember just about all my trips though. =)
 
Well perhaps I shouldn't really call it wanting to re-deplete it. Just that after it comes back, you can seem to feel it there.
