Anyway to extract the MDMA....

Hi

Hope I am posting in the right place.

I got these crap pills that ecstsydata.org shows are 50 parts caffeine to 1o parts MDMA. Man am I bumbed!

Anyway, is there anyway to extract the MDMA from these and lose the caffeine?

This is not a synthesis question. Its a salvage question.
 
I was also wondering if it is possible to extract the MDMA from pills . . . Anyone?
 
Try searching Drug Discussion forums. In short; extracting most of the chemically similar compounds in a pill is relatively simple, however, separating many of these combinations could prove far more difficult.

Check this post by fastandbulbous for some ideas on how to remove caffeine. Further details can be found by searching. You might also do some reading on the properties of primary and secondary amines that facilitate purification.

I was hoping it would be something more along the lines of just mixing it with 7 up !!
 
I just want to add that you can't rely on a site to confirm what is in your pill, unless you are ABSOLUTELY sure the pill came from the same source. A lot of the time a pill just has the same logo of a supposedly strong pill that is in circulation, therefore it is incredibly hard to know what is in a pill without actually having it tested by either a kit or a pill testing company. Just wanted to put this out in the open, it seems a lot of E users think that a logo or colour will define what is in a pill.:|

You're lucky, as caffeine is probably the only drug that can be seperated from amphetamines with reasonable ease.

Good luck. 50 to 1 sounds pretty shitty indeed :|
I mean.. 200mg caffeine is a STRONG dose.. Which leaves you with 4mg MDMA.. WTF???!!

Oh, unless you mean 50:10, which would at least contain something worthwhile then
 
It isn't THAT easy, but I followed Lejunk's post, and it worked.

I was able to eliminate 220mg of caffeine from a 330mg example. The specimen was tested, and we did not find any adulterants with all 3 known tests, as you cannot test for caffeine.

Though we all had a harsh comedown afterward which led us to believe that the specimen was loaded with caffeine.

I was able to create my own anhydrous acetone and dissolve what wasn't needed successfully.

I would say I got about a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio. I'm still working to see what ive actually got after I'm done, but I can say that it definitely works.

To the OP: 50:10 is pretty shitty. Based on how many you have, it may still be worth the effort, its better than throwing them away, or letting someone get messed up on them.

Crush them all up, mix with some anhydrous acetone, filter with medium flow filter paper, let the paper dry out fully overnight, voila.

Mine ended up being 2-3:1 not as bad as you. But its so cheap to try, its worth the shot.

Are you saying you can take a pill and do this to obtain relatively pure MDMA or am I misinterpreting what you mean?
 
Ya, its not anywhere close to my abilities. I did a little more looking into it. Unless I'm not seeing something somewhere it seems pretty complex, or at least not straight forward.

Yeah, it's not easy, that's why I haven't done it. lol I am not chemically inclined whatsoever. I can only imagine what would happen..."Well, Mr. Fire Marshall, I was trying to extract MDMA out of crappy pills from some instructions I found on Bluelight..." ;)
 
I tried doing the acetone wash on some good pills, but the only problem is the stuff i'm left with is still BRIGHT yellow. Is there any way to get the coloring out?
