Oxytocin & MDMA -- The real deal.

IIRC, this study actually found downstream release of oxytocin mediated by serotonin release at 5ht1. Perhaps this is part of the magic...
 
Is it just me or does this combo sound incredibly dangerous? Didn't Heath Ledger just die from an upper/downer combo?

Perhaps indeed. I have a hunch oxytocin is more important than we currently understand.
 
I wouldn't judge it as dangerous just yet. Oxy. isn't really much of a "downer" by classical terms. If it were dangerous, it would be for other reasons, those of which 99.99% of us have no idea about.
 
I think I am too scared to combine MDMA & coke! Wayyyyy too much energy, no chance of falling asleep and wayyyy too much comedown...

Plus all the coke in America these days is 20% pure with who knows what else in it (unless you are part of the 1 in a million that has a legit supplier)... it's not worth the time of day anymore for most of us folks...

Remember: oxytocin, not oxycontin. the former is a hormone, not a "downer".
 
i think a lot of the 'synergy' people are experiencing on this is the fact that oxytocin does a very physical thing to your body especially your face area (it causes a lot of people's noses to run and eyes to water and I bet facial muscles kinda tense up). On MDMA, I could see how that could feel overwhelmingly good almost like a massage. I don't really think just administering massive amounts of oxytocin nasally (or IM or IV) will have the empathogenic affect it may seem like it would have.

Although I could be wrong! I'll probably try it for myself, I've been wanting to try oxytocin alone for awhile now and also oxytocin + vasopresin combinations (or rather the synthetic version of vasopresin, desmopresin).
 
I am hesitant about vasopressin, it seems like it is a little more tailored towards diuretic effects than prosocial like oxytocin. But I think a lot of the action these two peptides exert is going to be based on what tissue the peptide is physically in perhaps more than anything.

i'm not convinced that exogenous administration of oxytocin has anything to do with increasing social empathy, etc.

You should try it on its own and see if it just doesn't make your eyes water and your penis feel a little weird. Great on E though I'm sure :D
 
On its own: No eye watering. No face flushing or anything like that. Hard to detect the buzz, but there is a head change. A lot of material needs to be used to get noticeable effects (a few mgs preferably). Feels a little bit like you are rolling, momentarily, unfortunately fading too fast. A distinct stress in the mid-section of the spine/ lower neck arises (the same thing happened previously). Outside the world feels smaller. Colors are very vivid. Walking was strange for a minute there. The people felt perceivably different. Sitting in the sun whilst writing in the notebook is nice. (Back inside...) Orgasm feels great, climax is possibly a little bit enhanced. Later on pictures of faces are easy to image & flowing freely in one's head after time was spent smoking herb in the living room, strange. Some time after one is drawn to sleep late in the afternoon due to excessive tiredness, normally not experienced at such a time.

Where do you people find all these strange pharmies? I have a hard time keeping up an E connection. I would give anything to try Oxytocin with some E. As someone who has battled social awkwardness and anxiety my whole life, I think I could benefit immensely.
 
Ive been interested in this hormone for social anxiety....

The remarkable similarity between the "magick" of e, and falling in love makes it seem likely to me the effects have something to do with oxytocin. (at least serotonin doesnt seem that great an explaination). However i doubt taking it nasally would do much more than taking l-tryptophan, unless ur taking e. Then it might work like a pre-load perhaps?

Anyways, anyone found this stuff socially relaxing?

you sure you are talking about oxytocin and not oxycodone? and what does coke have to do with this thread?

i bet we'd see a much larger effect with a small oxytocin agonist than with oxytocin itself.

Exactly what I was thinking. I've done the combo before... did 40mg OC with no tollerance then later on my friend said he had rolls so I took 2 of those. It was fun at first then after a couple hours I just got sick, started puking, couldn't sleep, and felt that way most of the next day.
