Pet Peeves

Ear worms. Having a song stuck in your head that you don't like. TV theme songs and advertising jingles are some of the worst of the ear worms for me.
 
Seconded. Luckily I've been playing some Fallout 3 lately, and while the songs on the 'radio' in the game are ear worms, I don't mind them-- and they keep the annoying ear worms out.

One of my biggest pet peeves: people who don't dress appropriately for the weather and then bitch that it's too cold.
 
When you shut the doors at work, cause It's 5.10 fucking pm, and people OPEN the DOORS and let themselves back in, saying that oh, they didn't know that we were shut!

Fucking tools.

Food eastablishments that do not list their prices completely on their menus. Especially if you download the menu as a pdf.

I went into a pizza place tonight, and their large pizzas were "9.95 and up." So I grabbed a foldable menu. Wow nice pictures, and nice "9.95 and up" reminder, but then....

Redleader: "Excuse me, do you have a menu with the full prices for all of the different pizzas and manipulations?"

Employee: "Umm..." :disgruntled look: "no, which one were you after?"

Redleader: "That depends on all of the prices!!!!!"

Hotels do this too over the web. You click on the "rates & reservations" tab and get a phone number to "call about the latest rate quotes." Fucking hell, my flatmate has a degree in marketing and she says that it's the stupidest thing in the world.
 
Littering pisses me off , friggin slobs. I don't have much tolerance for other drivers either , I have to watch those motherfuckers every second so they don't make me crash my car.
 
^ Stop watching them sitting about in the hostel and do something yourself then if it bothers you so much :p :D

I hate people who support the War on Drugs. It makes me want to beat the fuck out of them.
 
Spitters.

In London the streets are lined with spit and old chewing gum. I'm sure if you tried hard enough, you could slide from one end of the street to the next on one foot. :|
 
At least they are spitting on the street. In minneapolis wehre I used to live, you really could slide from one end of the sidewalk to the other, especially in the winter. When it was cold, but didn't snow for a while, their spit wwould freeze and just built up.
 
lol, wtf, I hardly ever see anyone spit or any evidence of spitting. Actually, I've never noticed any prominence of spitting in the 5 or 6 different places I've lived. Is spitting really something everybody does in the UK and Minneapolis? Interesting.
 
I have a friend that spits a lot and I think it is disgusting.

I don't know why he or other people do it unless they are using chewing tobacco.

In the UK, definitely. In some parts of London you've still got to be wary of chamberpots being emptied above you.
 
Cashiers who cannot do their jobs correctly.

My bill was 5.30. I handed her a ten and a one. She says, "Do you want the one back?"

Was this the first time EVER that someone have her $11 when the bill came to 5 dollars and change?

When I explained to her that I gave her $11 on purpose to avoid getting back 5 ones, she said, "Oh, good, that works out, because we like to hold on to the ones here."

That is definitely the unholy trifecta. I nearly threw up the first time I saw a pink North Face fleece.
