i dont usually write on here, but I wanted to add a few comments............
This was the first "bigger" party that has been attempted in Ohio in a while. Also, may I add that this was actually the first time that everything that was on the flyer & advertised ACTUALLY HAPPENED!!!!!
Venue was WAY nice. A convention center....beautiful. There was even a sign that said "All about the music3" light up on the road.
Concessions were above & beyond. It was like the volunteer school lunch moms hangin' out for anything you needed (food - drink - anything)
Full bar was open til' 230. Anything from drafts to jack n'coke to jeager bombs.
Decor was put togehter in a fine order. Streamers, balloons, those little plastic balls. I even saw a stuffed monkey hangin' around.
ALL the stages were great quality sound, well put together with great lighting (at least the 2 main rooms). The DnB room even had bamboo on the pillars. You also had bountiful amounts of bouncy castles, boxing areas, oxygen bar, & a smoking tent outside.
talent wise..........The slots of time were given to each DJ just as the times were posted. IMO some of the music that stuck out to me was Sinister. He fuckin' killed from 11-12. SOTN. Loved the signs that some of the females were throwing up during his set!!!!
K,X, & D had some flow, but a tons of stuff was going on all the time. 2 songs at the same time with scratching........hmmm
Foursquare & Alanis brought back the house!!!! I heard the AVH classic cut, to bucketheads, to house of pain jump around.
To end the night the promoter stops his own party to make sure that everyone got home before possibly getting stopped at police checkpoints. That was a good thing!
Vibe was present, but well spread out. There were a lot of people there, i'm thinking 1000? People were there to hear music & have fun. I would like to thank Big E Productions for an all around great event.
