Would you run from the cops?

What would you do if you had an encounter with police and they knew you had drugs?

I run if I see a cop pass me and "I just know they are going to turn around on me". Sadly, I've been pulled over so many times I can tell if a cop is going to turn around or not.

If I know he will, I floor it and then do some turns to lose the tail. I've done it countless times.

However if he's clearly behind me, has the lights on, or calls me out, no, I don't run. I definitely would not.

As for on foot, depends how far away they are and if I think I have a 99.99% chance to make it, and they haven't called me out yet. In these situations I can still just walk and take a few turns to do it.

But knitty-gritty run from the cops? Never. I'm a good driver and I have a lot of experience losing tails (maybe I've cut one too many people off...) so I do that shit all the time.
 
When I was on Smack, I would always put my gear into my mouth as soon as I scored, just in case this happened.

Thankfully, it never did!
 
9 times out of 10 run, if i only have cannabis on me then get searched... if i have the chance i would stash it or give it a friend for them to walk off.
 
I used to sell weed in university with a friend, we'd have to drive about 2hours to a different town to pick up. I would always be in the passenger seat with the weed on the floor by my feet, we'd drive by so many cop cars, we'd both be paranoid as fuck the entire time. Not to mention do stupid things like smoke a joint on the way there and back.
My friend would insist that if we got stopped I should run out the car with the weed and ditch it somewhere (which is something i was never willing to do). Thankfully we never got stopped, although I stopped dealing when the police were called to my dorm room and found a homemade bong/ounce of weed. Had they gone in a week earlier it would've been closer to 9ounces bagged up into £10 and £20 bags.

Fuck having stupid amounts of drugs on you. I've got a caution for cannabis that lasts 5years so I really don't want to get caught with anything for the next few years.
 
The very first time I ever bought mushrooms, we walk out of the dealers house and there are two cops right down the street. I got into my car and started to almost have an anxiety attack. I don't know about other states but in MN if you are caught with mushrooms, you can be charged with attempted manslaughter. So while in my car, the three of us who bought the booms all scarfed them down and put the bags inside our socks on the bottoms of our feet. The cops didn't follow us though when we drove off. Our dealer did get busted though that night with 2 lbs of mushrooms and over 100 hits of acid though maybe 45 minutes after we left.

He's definitely going to be in prison for the next 40 years. MN laws are the worst. So are our fucking cops.
 
I dont run if I can hide. Last time I was pulled over I ended up going for DWI (way too much heroin too be driving..... moderate swerving due to the nod)

I had 6 grams of mid grade cannabis in my shoe and got searched once on the street and once at the station. But played it cool while my passenger ran his mouth.... they proceeded to take him in the other room and smack him around. I took that as my only chance in my holding cell to swallow all the herb.. which I did, without water, almost choking......

I knew once I got downtown they would officially book me into the jail and go through socks shoes and take a nice long look under my balls and anus. If I would have got caught with that weed I would potentially lose almost 10 thousand dollars (in school pell grants) It was definitely the smart move.
 
i usually have pills on me in a lil baggy. i usually cram them between my thigh and my balls lol since im a big guy and that shit never falls out. been searched a lot and it never fails. cops usually dont suspect people of hiding shit between there balls and legs. works everytime haha

Fun story. My friends and I used to toke up in this apartment building nearby, on the roof if the weather was nice. The doors to the roof only open from the inside, we had to prop one open.

We take a little stroll away from this door, we're puffing away, and BANG. There's two cops. "Let's go!".

We're ahead of them...we start walking faster. We get a good deal ahead of them, reach the propped open door, bolt down the stairs, and the last guy...kicks the prop out.

Slam.

We had locked the cops out on the roof.

I can't say how I will response at that time. It depends on the situations.
 
In my state (check your local listings ;)) its a felony to flee in a vehicle, but a misdemeanor on foot - a very important distinction depending on your Drug of Possession / criminal record.

I've got a clean record - so no way I'd flee in a vehicle (don't drive anyway) .. But I'd surely lose my career, my CHL, and perhaps my house(foreclosure) even with a simple cannabis citation, and if I'm holding I'm already high - and paranoid.

Of course, if it just started out as a basic FI, I'd be stuck; before you get searched they're gonna snag your ID. So I'd have a pretty heavy split-second decision to make if I got rolled up on.
A warrant could beat a conviction, tho for PCS <1 oz marijuana, its just a Violation here, unless you get hit with a schoolzone modifier.

I used to be a long-distance runner (tested with cops @ 7000 ft + beat the whole force) .. But its hard to outrun a German Shepard or a Motorola.

Edit: Damn, how could I forget .. Me & a homie did get busted once, cruisin on a Fri nite with a bong in the car (stupid). He spotted a DUI checkpoint; I'd never heard of such roadblocks so I thought it was a wreck + told him to keep going. We get pulled to the side and immediately searched; I managed to lodge my gram tin between the seat + center console before getting out of the car. My homie was driving + had a large jar, so he got hooked .. After being shocked I had nothing, they cut me loose, then as I book it off the scene they shout @ me to come back . Luckily I was stoned, 10 miles from safety + 500 from my residence with no phone or #s to call, and there were 20 cops around, so I didn't take off; turned out they just wanted to copy my ID.
Worked out tho, friend got his charge dropped, even got his bong (and my weed) back.

if they're right next to me, NO WAY, whats the point???
just try and hide it if possible..
if i see them from a distance i would run, i already got a record - don't want more on it!
 
People's answer to this question should vary depending on jurisdiction, so the poll is pretty pointless.

It depends on the situation for me, an American. If I could anticipate a warrant and they were still a decent distance away, then chuck the drugs in a random place and retrieve them later if possible. If I knew they had a warrant and were right by me, I would not run as that is a crime by itself to add to the charges. If it was a small volume, I would stuff it in my pants, or if with a female ask her to stuff it in her bra. Whether they had a warrant or not, I would not consent to a search. I would ask if I am free to go as soon as possible.
 
if i was in a suitable vehicle that had a chance and was not in a major city hell yes i have and will again if necessary, but if i was on foot hell no becuase those copper bastards live to run stoners like me down
 
I was watching cops the other night and this cop was chasing this guy in a truck off road going through trees and shit. The cop got stuck and his car caught on fire and burned the fuck up by the time the other cops got there. They still caught the guy though...
 
It all depends on the situation, if i had 2 kilos of heroin in my backpack then hell yeah i'd run but if i had a couple of bags or a few pillls or something like that then its not really worth running.

i've ran many a time when i was selling and i got caught 9/10 times but most of the times i just ran so i could drop my stash somewhere along the way in a bush or over a fence etc and then let then catch me.

The cop HAD to be disciplined for that .. Not terminating a pursuit offroad thru a forest in a Crown Vic for a simple stolen vehicle?

Also good is the one where the cop sticks the CrownVic to the train tracks chasing a dirtbike.

You must be outta shape (or ill-informed)
As I mentioned above, fleeing in a vehicle is a generally a felony - and can open you up to infinite liability (you will be charged with felony assault & damages for any/all accidents that occur as a result of said fleeing).
Cops have numbers, radios & a lot more gas to tip the odds in their favor; the second the chase is on, every open unit within 20 miles is going to get an APB.

If you take off on foot, the drug you're holding is probably a more serious offense ..
And while the DA won't bother throwing simple Tresspassing charges on you for hopping fences, playing G.T.A. on the road will introduce you to the wonderful world of horizontal overcharging, such as a stack Reckless Endangerment/driving misdemeanors with your felony(s).
On foot you're looking @ just minor eluding or Resisting Arrest (again, check your local statutes)

Sorry for the tangent, but e-gangstism irritates me, especially when it interferes with potentially vital legal advice.
If you're not on parole or the local hot sheet, you probably should not slam your foot down on the accelerator when you get lit up.
