OH, DAYTON - 12.31.08 - NYE - It's All About the Musc 3 DAYTON AIRPORT EXPO

If I decide to go I'd prolly drive myself, that way I can just come home when I feel like it. Nothing worse then being stuck in Ohio with no way to leave. Happened many of times to me. Yuck.

I'm looking forward to it. I heard the venue can hold 3 football games at once. Rave on Dayton
 
Is this worth going to I just told my buddies and were all thinkin about going to it whats it like? Never been to a rave. 3000 person capacity, 42 artists, 4 rooms, 4 themes, oxygen bar, costumed dancers, garden bar, light shows, on new years... sounds like it cant be beat. *edit*

the last one was like 2 years ago and the party was bumpin till i think like 2 or 3 and then 5.0 showed up and shut it down and checked everyones ids to see if any underage kids were at the party. It was definatley not the promoters fault the 5.0 in the small town where the party was at were just assholes. This one is going to be badass. Dayton cops have always been cool and im sure Big E has everything taken care of. This shit is going to be on point!
 
I think one should ALWAYS expect and plan for tough security at all points (parking lot, entrance, inside, bathrooms). Anything less would be stupid IMO.

Dayton cops have not always been cool, I have been to parties before that have been shut down in Dayton numerous times. If they weren't shut down, the cops did show up and disrupt the party on numerous fronts before leaving. It has happened before, and it would be silly to think it couldn't happen in the future. Its the cops. They can do pretty much whatever they want if they think they have a good reason.

One thing this party has going for it is that its at a expo/convention Center. They normally have a liquor license and host other large scale events (think car and truck competition shows, new car shows, etc) on a regular basis like other expo centers across the country. These have been used successfully in the past for large scale events, one I can think of was Live on the Decks 3 in Chicago, 10K+ people in the Rosemont Convention center. It was a hoot! But those were the old days.

I'm sure this party will be hopping and they have their shit together. If not we always have the hotel room to fall back on and have our own little party. C'est la vie!
 
Yea I could go for some of that ham.... about 4 or 5 servings worth....

Sounds like there might not be much ham with easy access to go around though, so maybe I won't go....
 
Ive got like 8 pounds of ham in the freezer and at least 2 pounds in the fridge, there is plenty to go around. I'll have enough ham for the next year it seems. Mmmmmm.

Very true. I was on stage when the party got busted up. Big E had even hired off duty Sherrif's to make sure there was no trouble. Unfortunately, the local police wanted to flex. Everything is secured and on point for this event. I talked with him last saturday at the pre-party I threw. He has all his t's crossed and I's dotted :) Eric's really went all out for this one.
