my thoughts on this topic are mixed.
Drugs I would want to see legalized:
Opiates, their legal with a prescription so decriminalize them when without..
Cannabis/Opium/Hashish-legal for all,but still have an age limit 21^so kids arent toking at school...
Pharmacy Grade MDMA-legal but an age limit in order to buy them like 21^.
Drugs like Dimethyltryptamine(DMT),LSD,Mescaline,Phencyclidine(PCP), 2C-x Family and the other "familys" I think that they should still be legal but decriminalized. Or maybe legal, but sold behind the counter and with an age restriction. Ive never done these drus but what Ive seen people do and say while under their influence was bizarre and sometimes scary.
Crack/Cocaine, Methamphetamine and Heroin are drugs that I think should stay illegal. These drugs are very powerful and can cause addiction and dependence very very quickly. This is not something that our world needs to have in its stores or wherever so that not only adults would be affected but kids coud get these powerful drugs as well. And we all know that when you start doing these drugs early enough, that a lot of the times it can only lead to an unwanted addiction for 1 year, or 2,or 5 or the rest of their lives.
Ketamine I think should be pretty much legalized and have it sold in Pure grade form in seperate single doses to people 21^. And I think thats all I got.
People are going to most likely flame or ask why do I think there should be an age limit on the drugs??Its just my personal opinion.Yes kids will still be able to get these substances by resorting to having an of age person buy them for the kids, same way alcohol and ciggarettes are bought for minors. It will happen, but at least the kids of our generation would be somewhat restricted from drug use untill they are older. Its just my belief, but the last hing I want is to see anyones young siblings becoming drug addicts at 13 and then may or may not care about school or college when we all no that education is the key to success and gives you a better chance at getting a job. Of couse there are also very successful people who didnt go to or finish school who are in good jobs. My 0.2$
Everything except PCP. I know it can be used responsibly, but there's some fucking horror stories out here...
Why isn't there a "I wouldn't legalize any" choice?
Sure, I'm a drug user, but it doesn't mean that I feel any of these drugs should be legalized, not even marijuana/hashish.
Well, now that I think about it, do you mean legalized or decriminalized?
I'd like to see plenty of these drugs decriminalized, but not legalized. Legalization to me means being sold freely, in shops and the like. Decriminalized meaning if you get caught with it there are no penalties, assuming you aren't breaking any other laws, like driving under the influence.
I would legalize everything except pcp.
^ Or meth,or anything that provokes violence! Alcohol! then we may as well generalize all drugs that have the tendency to provoke psychotic episodes or violence!
We cannot legalize some drugs and not the other, it will never work unfortunately.
Blah.
I would never legalize meth, nothing good ever comes out of it. You are correct there.
But I would want street meth. Nothing compares to it for me.
I think if people are educated on certain drugs/proper dosage etc it COULD work.
But there is always negatives - more people addicted, more OD's, I am not sure if I want that.
I do support decriminalization of these drugs, it is ludicrous how much taxpayers money goes into keeping drug dealers in prison.
It is a tricky situation. If you legalize some & not others there will be so much controversy.
It ain't worth it all really. I am torn on this issue. But I think it is stupid pot is illegal yet alcohol isn't.. alcohols fucking evil.. truly.
There would still be a black market for drugs. There would still be drug busts on manufacture.
But - point of thread - I say weed legalized and possibly opiates as they do not do physical damage (besides WD)
Have you ever been an addict? 'Cos I wouldn't wish it upon anybody. I fear the day all recreational drugs are legal if it comes. It'll be a mess. Most drugs mess with your mental & physical health big time if abused, which will be the case here. I am torn on this issue. I just wish nobody ever even discovered drugs had a recreational use and people were not even tempted. Makes me sad that people can't enjoy life sober and we are always chasing a fake feeling![]()
