I think it's interesting how people's Electronic Music preferences contrast with their non-EM preferences. Even for myself, I used to be into Metal & Heavy rock and went from there to Trance. I can certainly see how one would go from metal to Drum & Bass (a lot do) or from Rock to Breaks (given the beat is very similar). It just puzzles me a bit to equate Trance or Prog with metal. Even though I do it myself.

Although I'm glad you're into EDM maybe you should try checkin out some non-mainstream progressive trance artists. maybe check out some house, breaks, or dnb?

deadmau5 is a DJ WTF haha.

he mentions he hates certian dj's in some interview he did, also in the track called ghosts n stuff. he mostly just dissing his haters, not all dj's as a whole cause he is one LOL.

AND WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH LIKING MAINSTREAM TRANCE/ELECTRO . FUCKING HATERS its mainstream for a reason.

No, he actually specifically states that he thinks going to see a DJ is the most boring thing in the world and he thinks they are 'c**ts'

Deadmau5 is not a DJ. He is a producer and when he performs live he doesn't DJ. He actually uses a custom rig to produce the sounds. Much in the same way that Daft Punk do not DJ. There are no CD's/Vinyl/mixing of digital files involved.

Here's a quote from the article:
