whats the healthiest food IYO?

"Don't get me wrong, it's a good product, but to assert it has all the vitamins, minerals, macronutrients, etc needed to sustain life just sounds completely silly."

Never said it contains all the nutrients needed, i said almost.

Below is a source to a study showing the mineral content to mate finding Fe, Ca, Mn, Mg, Na, K, Zn and Cu

Minerals content of Paraguayan yerba mate (Ilex paraguariensis, S.H.).

Direccion de Investigacion, Facultad de Ciencias Quimicas, Universidad Nacional de Asuncion, Paraguay.

Mate contains vitamins A, E, B-complex and C. In addition, it contains 15 different amino acids and significant amounts of magnesium, calcium, iron, sodium, potassium, manganese, phosphates, zinc, niacin, sulfur, chlorophyll, choline and inositol.

If you look on most bags of real mate they have nutritional analysis on them. Im having trouble finding the source to the study done by the Pasteur Institute in Paris but ill keep looking.
I also have another link to a site with some compared brands nutritional analysis but im not on my computer atm.

Honestly i can only put so much faith behind all of it, i just ran into the thing about the Pasteur Institute in Paris and thought it was interesting so i posted it.

however i do think the thread has quite a few mentions about a good varied and balanced diet being the real catalyst to health and not just one food and all that....

either way mate is a great plant

even "almost" - it doesn't. I'm just being nit pickey lol, it's a very nutritious plant, it's just not remotely close to covering you.
Like you said, either way it's a great plant ;)

id say orally in capsule form. bee pollen has lots of amino acids and amino acids are best absorbed on an empty stomach so take it in the mornings before breakfast and wait a bit to eat :)

Raw cacao nibs... preferably fully fermented and cleaned. It should be euphoric, not speedy. ;)

Banana... starch, fiber, easy to eat/store, simple sugars; shout out to all of the starchy tubers and roots as well... they're less easy to eat and prep though, not really grab n' go items...

Avocado... creamy, special oils, fiber, nutrient dense

All of the leafy greens... eaten and chewed for thousands of years. I think people in our culture are running around too acidic and with alkaloid deficiencies... for too long... which is why we crave hits of strong ass shit that's been processed, powdered and sold in shady parts of town. Just my opinion... I noticed that when my ph is rocksolid I don't crave the poppy as much as usual... just sayin...

Mushrooms! All! Too many nutrients to list... I'm tired and had whisky... but if you google it... fiber, vitamin D in some (!!!), proteins, special sugars that boost your immune system... they have a nice naturally meat taste... earthy.. can be very nourishing and satisfying.

And teh whole grainz!1 Especially wonderful if you take fresh whole grains and grind them yourself and soak the meal... becomes powerful, sustaining food you can mix up with pretty much anything.

Hempseed: Humanity’s Best Single Food Source
Of the 3 million plus edible plants that grow on Earth, no other single plant source can compare with the nutritional value of hempseeds. Both the complete protein and the essential oils contained in hempseeds are in ideal ratios for human nutrition. Only soybeans contain a higher percentage of protein. However, the composition of the protein in hempseed is unique in the vegetable kingdom. Sixty-five percent of the protein content in hempseed is in the form of globulin edestin.1 (The word edestin comes from the Greek “edestos,” meaning edible.)
The exceptionally high edestin content of hempseed combined with albumin, another globular protein contained in all seeds, means the readily available protein in hempseed contains all the essential amino acids in ideal proportions to assure your body has the necessary building blocks to create proteins like disease-fighting immunoglobulins - antibodies whose job is to ward off infections before the symptoms of sickness set it.2
Cannabis seed protein even allows a body with nutrition-blocking tuberculosis, or almost any other nutrition-blocking ailment, to get maximum nourishment.*

HEMP SEED: THE MOST NUTRITIONALLY
COMPLETE FOOD SOURCE IN THE WORLD

HEMP SEED PROTEINS AND THE
BUILDING BLOCKS OF LIFE AND IMMUNITY

Hemp is not unique in having all the essential amino acids in its embryonic seed. Flax seeds also contain all the essential amino acids as do many other seeds in the plant kingdom. What is unique about hemp seed protein is that 65% of it is globulin edistin. That is the highest in the plant kingdom.

Whats the best way to take bee pollen?

I have never taken the capsules. I prefer my bee pollen all natural , in granule form. I chew a very small teaspoon once a day before I go to work. Too much and it jacks me up like I'm wired =D

Havent had it in a while now since I used up my last bottle...

^ Thanks for Reminding me of this. Now that I'm in Canada, I'd like to try it out.

Though I'm off to the Mediterranean (well, Adriatic, whatever :p) tomorrow, and shall be gorging myself on all sorts of Balkan yummies :D.
