To all my IV usin' homies...do any of you now hate snorting?

Hey there fellow junkies,

Does anyone here who uses IV exclusively (coke, heroin, meth, whatever) now refuse to go back to snorting shit, even though it makes no difference (in the bioavailability, like benzos, etc.) really if you are snorting or IVing?

For example, with subutex, I'd rather slam it than sniff it, even though it's not a good pill (not that any pill really is) to shoot.

Anyone else feel this way?

Staving off withdrawals with a small ass stash of subutex, trying to maximize my usage of what I've got. Plus, filtering with a wheel filter it's not that bad, and I've done far worse.

sure, you may see as a viable way to take your subutex. but are you aware of all the reprecussions that could come of a missed shot? those risks far outweigh the normal way of sublingual or even snorting it. have a search around for the consequences that can evolve from that practice, ie - gangrene and amputations.

im a recreational IV'er only of morphine, meth and some other opiates when available and the only drug i've snorted since starting to shoot has maybe been meth on a couple of ocassions and coke. i was interested in IV'ing coke, but because it was my first time with it i chose not to so i could get a feel for the drug without stepping right into injections
 
how is it considered a waste? there are many people on BL that snort it and find it quite effective. there's certainly less health risks of snorting Bupe rather than injecting it.

i know i would prefer to be snorting it as i dont wanna lose any limbs...
 
Once you pick up the needle, it's hard as hell to go back to any other roa.


I have no problem snorting dope, but I prefer to IV for the obvious reasons. IME, that's a unique situation. All the iv'ers I know, won't even give snorting a second thought.
 
^agreed phrozen. except under circumstances like the group of friends i'm with i can't openly prepare a shot so sometimes it's just not viable, but the majority of them couldnt give two shits. normally i wait for the appropriate time to slip into the bathroom and do what i do
 
Right. I try to only when I'm in social situations. Thing is, my friends don't use any drugs, unless you count alcohol, nicotine, and caffeine. So, I just snort a bag in the restroom.
Funny thing is, I feel guilty about having to hide. I find it a little pathetic to be out on a date and doing heroin in the restroom. :\ :shrugs:


Now, if this was before two years or so ago, I'd be hanging out with junkies, and we'd use together...
 
I have slammed subutex, and I despise snorting any opiate. Frankly if I'm not bangin I'll just swallow it. Seems like a waste to sniff unless its bupe. But I do heed my veins and let them heal. Sometimes when a pill is just too unsafe to IV I'll sniff it.

for sure. i got a few friends who i do speed with, they snort but have no qualms of me setting up for a shot. they've even got me on camera and were real inquisitive of the whole process. it's not something they'd ever take part in nor would i let them get in that situation. i very rarely shoot opiates except on a special ocassion, i mainly have bupe or tramadol. when i wack up morphine or oxy (which i dont do anymore), i tend to do it in my own privacy so i can enjoy the high uninterupted

i know how feel about hiding it. it's even more of a bummer when you're at your own house, but you gotta respect not all people are down with it and would rather keep it on the low from some of those certain people anyway.

I do lines if they are offered to me but I wouldnt waste my own stash, not that I really ever have a stash these days. I might snort oxy but I aint going back to shooting oxy without a micron filter which is kinda hard for me to get therefor I dont really do it at all. Theres no way id ever do speed/meth any other way than IV, IV is king and it rules over me and the various states I may be in.
 
I still enjoy snorting shit. I don't know, it's got a whole different kind of mood to it imo. Like, not many people I know like to boot up so if I'm just hangin by my lonesome or just relaxing and want to just get blasted, I'll load up a rig until I get too wasted and eventually crash-out. But if I'm with people and want to party, but not be coming in-and-out-of-it and that shit, it's a lot nicer to do a few lines of china every so often and just keep it going throughout the night. Plus, when you have shit that has such a HUGE difference in effects like Coke, it all depends on your mood. The difference between sniffing and shooting coke, might as well be two different drugs. So I like snorting coke some times and others I like to shoot.

IVing is going to waste the subutex much faster than snorting will

Duration of IV buprenorphine is much shorter than intranasal.

P.S. I hate snorting, and the only drug Ill snort now is my suboxone.

Actually, its the only drug I do besides heroin.
