Yes, Coca-Cola still uses a decocainized extract of the Erythroxylaceae (coca) plant as a flavoring agent today.

While the drink originally contained active cocaine "back in the day" (which was eliminated from the recipe by 1903), the modern production process
involves stripping the narcotic elements out before the extract is added to the syrup.

Santa invented coke because snow was too cold to snort.
Oh yes, there's nothing better than sitting around on saturday night playing cards and doing shots of coke.

Coca-Cola includes a coca leaf extract as an ingredient prepared by a Stepan Company plant in Maywood, New Jersey.

The facility, which had been known as the Maywood Chemical Works, was purchased by Stepan in 1959. The plant is the only

commercial entity in the United States authorized by the Drug Enforcement Administration to import coca leaves,

which come primarily from Peru via the National Coca Company. Approximately 100 metric tons of dried coca leaf are

imported each year. The cocaine-free extract is sold to The Coca-Cola Company for use in soft drinks, while the

cocaine is sold to Mallinckrodt, a pharmaceutical firm, for medicinal purposes. wikipedia

I thought this was well known. They important enough coca leaf to be a major player... many tons, but they have a private contract with the DEA who watches their chemical process to isolate out the cocaine and it is then incinerated under DEA supervision. Supposedly 👍 👌

Speaking of is Erowid aka DrugsData.org ever going to get their DEA license back?

One of their employees certainly got caught stealing or otherwise mishandling samples. Sad.
