I'm a little confused on this substance.

What is a typical dose for the sodium salt of GHB as a powder.

It's annoying that people talk about dosing it in a liquid form when the pure compound is a solid. Is 2.5g a reasonable dose?

Also wondering like, how much salt is in say 100mL

Would that be like sodium oxybate used for medicinal purposes? Was hard to find any info regarding recreational dosages, the information seemed to be strictly for it's intended use, and the dosages seem to be higher than for pure ghb, like roughly twice as much for therapeutic use compared to pure GHB dose for recreational use. But it seems very sketchy to try to calculate a dose based of this.

it's mostly liquid in Europe from what I've seen.

this says it's for sodium, 2-5g is a strong dose - 5g seems too high to me personally

2.5g-3.5 for strong

It's been a long time since I've looked at this because of the lack of powder in europe, but I have in my head that gram to ml equivalent wasn't too far away from being 1:1, so this seems a high dose to me personally, IIRC I was taking 2ml GHB for quite a strong effect - but I'm going from memory.

Better advice would be to start lower, like 1.5g and titrate up the next time, or if you can't wait start lower with a view to redosing after an hour. I generally redose after 1-1.5 hours at about 50% my initial dose, so if you're initial dose is too light you could maybe increase this to 60-75% maybe. Keep track of your total in a session and try to keep it at a sensible number if you're redosing (not gonna advise on numbers because YMMV but once you find your initial level 2-3 times your total initial dose is where I find I can start nodding depending on how quickly I'm taking it) - if you start feeling the nod you're pushing it too far, but if you're taking it slowly that should be an early warning sign rather than a sign you're already in too deep and about to G out. Stay safe!

Outta interest I have it in my head that sodium and potassium are slightly different in strength, but I just had a search and can't find out if I'm remembering correctly.

I did a lot of reading and spoke with some homies about the subject after making my post/comments. I think you are pretty spot on. I've read that when consumer gets the product they "test" for quality based on density, which should come out at 1.2-1.2g/mL At that optimal concentration, each mL contains about .5g so a 1:1 sounds about right that would put 2mL = 1g which I would call a lighter dose.

The potassium ion is heavier than the sodium ion so K-GBH salt is going to be less GHB than the Na-GHB salt per gram. 1g of Na-GHB is 819mg of GHB while 1g of K-GHB is 725mg. There's also probably differences in solubility so you might be able to get more Na-GHB into solution than K-GHB. I really don't know though.

makes sense in terms of why, not sure what this equates to in terms of changing dosing even though there's an implied ratio here, just a call out to future readers of this thread that you need to check this if you're taking the potassium K-GHB version, or be safe and practice good HR by starting low and titrating up etc etc.

now I've slept on it, I also think there was a lot of discussion on reduction of sodium intake as a driver to move to potassium, this was when I was looking at stove top GBL conversion to GHB for personal use. Ended up deciding it wasn't worth the effort given how infrequently I take GBL though
