Anyone else get a comedown from benzodiazapines?

Especially Alprazolam they bring me up to a higher mood 100% confidence and all that, great mood etc.

In higher doses I'm invisible.

So to reiterate do any lovely bluelighters get a bad comedown?

Not expecting any replies but yadda yadda ying that's life and I'm a cousin of one of the Paxtons.

a bad comedown from xannies? i don't think so. not markedly. i usually feel a very slow return of my anxiety the level it was before taking it. but that takes a while. hours and hours.

otherwise i've gotten a slight hungover feeling.

I wouldn't say an actual comedown more like paranoia comes back and I'm on the rocks.

I think it's because I took them in huge doses when I was younger and now I take 3 different benzos so maybe my receptors have gone crazy .

when I was on real high doses of crazier benzos maybe a little bit --- almost more like an afterburn where the actual "Buzz part" would pass and itd be time to find a bed

Nah. Only if I have high levels of baseline anxiety, or are addicted to benzos and happen to be taking ones with short half-lives and no active metabolites - in which case it's not a comedown, but withdrawal. Otherwise, I just eventually become aware that the drug's effects have run their course.

Your mates sure they got ahold of valium--- lol nothing traumatizing happened to em that night? Everyone's body chemistry is different I suppose

nah at the time all normal but they both say they feel real down for a day or two after so don't use it.

Should be noted they are both huge daily/non stop users of cannabis.

Alprazolam isn't a good choice to replace diazepam given it's duration of effect, you're gonna be popping a lots of xanax to replace a 60mg+ a day diaz habit...

I was going to mention rebound anxiety and, as the other quoted post states, I feel like the general anxiety that was lingering before the benzo use returns but with a bit extra added.

But in terms of what you'd think of from the words 'comedown' - as an immediate after effect of the drug's main effects ceasing to function - I'd just say sleepiness. Lethargy.
