I'm assuming that it's cheaper or easier to make which is why it keeps showing up. As far as manufacturers having a conscience, just look at fentanyl, nizatidine and xylazine as examples.

Cheaper yes though thats debatable as the glycidates are not expensive when bought in bulk.
Easier in the sense that the precursors are entirely legal worldwide and cheap. Otherwise it is the exact same synthetic process except instead of starting from the chemical "Safrole" it starts from a similar compound called "Anethole". If one could make PMMA then one could just as easily make MDMA.

I struggle to see how it's anything but a conscious decision to do it, not sure the cost is a big enough factor.

availability of precursors might mean they are only able to make PMMA instead of MDMA yes, but I suspect it's just that simple, they make the decision to do that and then pass it off as MDMA knowing the risks that brings.

I have no idea what PMA / PMMA is but I'd still try a nice dose of some, it can't be that far removed from a MDMA high or the pill market would crash.
It can't be worse than a big dose of MDA, I'd take some & see what happens.

Why would people buy pills if you have a high chance of taking this, it's nothing like MDMA.

well the issue is people aren't buying it, they think they're buying MDMA.

and most things are dangerous/toxic at a high enough dose, PMMA just has a narrower window and requires a lower amount to get your into trouble compared to MDMA which is where people get into difficulties.

MDMA can cause arrhythmias and hypertension....

Why would people buy pills if you have a high chance of taking this, it's nothing like MDMA.

having slept on it, if the effect of PMMA/PMA in it's own right were that good then I think the RC market would have been using this out of choice by now.

I'd still give it a try maybe, but would be doing it intentionally at appropriate doses

It's a good thing I really can't face being out till 6-7-8am off my tits on MDMA or some weird drug cocktail these days.
Gimme a good podcast on a Serial Killer, weed, Pregab, snacks & coffee & I can be alone, maybe toss in some good heroin too & I'm more than happy.

I've not touched MDMA in several decades, if I was to source any it would have to be from some Tor place & if I was going to that much effort I'd prefer to source good MDPV then MDMA so I don't think I'll ever need to worry about PMA etc being an issue for me but I do feel for those who want to get decent pills & end up with some weird & toxic drug stew.
