No sign of The Slits in this thread - criminal! One of the most innovative and influential female (mainly) bands ever

[ageingpartyfiend]

Little Simz is outstanding and this track is pure gold

you're not wrong there, fantastic artist (was lucky enough to see her live last year , wasn't expecting that much but wow, something else and an incredible band she got rolling atm, different to her previous outfits

last 3 or 4 albums have all been 100% bangers, in different ways too. What a talent

You must be familiar with Cocteau Twins? Some 80s/90s dream pop royalty. I only found out recently they were from Grangemouth. Fucking Grangemouth! Grangemouth to the highfalutin bright lights of the NYC art scene sure is a pipeline.

[streaM Freak]

Michelle Branch
Stevie Nicks
Dido
Alanis Morsette
Shania Twain
Jewel

[phantom_alyce]

Vana
Daisy Grenade (possibly the best concert I've ever been to)
Garbage (Shirley Manson is a goddess and I will die on this hill)
DeathByRomy
Destiny Potato
Fiona Apple
Natalie Imbruglia
Novelists (with the new singer, old singer was a guy)
Sheryl Crow
Otep

Mind you, some of these are women-fronted bands, hope that still counts.
