Opioids codeine or tramadol?

All opioids can be stimulating at lowish doses. These are all subjective effects being described not anything objective/empirical whatsoever, and I’ve done plenty from A-Z…
 
It depends.

Codeine, if you want to get high.
Tramadol, if you need an instant antidepressant.

Haven't taken them for pain, but I've heard tramadol is good for certain kinds of pain, because of its SNRI properties. The same way that e.g. amitriptyline (tricyclic antidepressant) is prescribed for pain.

You’re probably a poor metabolizer (CYP2D6 liver enzyme) then since Tramadol becomes O-DSMT in the liver, and there’s nothing you can do about it since this is a genetic trait.

I used to hate codeine as I only ever had from cwe but could never get it right so it made me nauseous but I got a script of 30mg codeine phosphate and loved the stuff ,obviously I was taking about 180mg at a time and script was gone in a few days lol
Dhc rules the roost for me ,150mg and you got energy and want to do shit ,more and you can chill out

The nausea is just standard opioid side effects when your tolerance is low or nil. The CWE only removes the APAP or whatever else it is compounded with, and that stuff usually doesn’t affect your stomach that way unless you are someone who is uniquely sensitive to the stuff.

I just wonder is there caffine in co-codamol or anything else other than paracetamol and codeine because every time I did a cwe the water was clear ,slightly opaque and every time I had to go to bed after just feeling sick
But with straight codeine it was like a totally different drug

I’m not from the UK or EU so idk but I do know they mix codeine with caffeine plus APAP in Tylenol #3 which is probably the same thing. If you don’t use caffeine regularly it will cause a lot of side effects.

I guess you have to be pretty careful when CWE'ing those. I mean, if they are like 8 mg codeine/500 mg paracetamol. Then, if you want to take a recreational dose of 240 mg codeine, then it's 15,000 mg of paracetamol to be extracted, which is a hefty dose. You can't really extract every piece of paracetamol. :rolleyes:

Anything over 3000-4000mg acetaminophen is severely toxic to the liver so beware. Just leaving this tidbit here for anyone else who is curious about conducting this experiment.

Tramadol in the range of 100-200 mg staggered gives me a very pleasant high. It is also by far the most effective ADHD medication I have tried. I’m more productive, and pleasant to people around me, on Tramadol than on vyvanse or Ritalin. Codeine (I have never gone above 60mg) sometimes gives me a nice buzz, and it certainly can mitigate some pain, but mainly it makes me sleep.
