Today I got some UA results that found carfentanil in my system a couple weeks back. But I hadn't done any to my knowledge, and I hadn't even done fentanyl! I think the results are correct, and that I had some meth cut with carfentanil. Oh well. Another new drug to add to the list of what I have done!

My Neurologist did a urine drug screen because I was on an ongoing script for hydrocodone for migraines at the time. It tested positive for meth! I am a woman in my 60s and I swear I have never even seen meth! My kids thought it was hilarious.

Thankfully my Dr believed me. But I feel sorry for someone who has a false positive and their doctor doesn’t believe them! Evidently it happens more than we realize.

I have actually talked to other people in their 50s and 60s who have come up hot for meth despite never having done it in their lives! Luckily they had understanding doctors, same as you. The tests that pain docs use must be especially prone to false positives with meth. Which sucks because in this current environment for pain medication, usually doctors will ban you for a single positive and not even wait to have it confirmed by gc/ms.

Once I was really surprised that I tested positive for LSD (its metabolite, strictly speaking) like 4-5 days after tripping. My doctor was equally surprised.

Another time, when I ended up in the ICU for a GBL overdose and was hooked up to a ventilator, they tested me specifically for GHB and the screen came back negative. That's some scary shit - you can OD to within an inch of your life and like 2-3h in your test is negative.
