Is A.I. waiting to take over ?

@nepalnt21

I appreciate the honor to be honest.
No one i had the opportunity to talk here are qualified workers within digital environment.

What their is simple coders enthusiast but there's much more they ain't qualified for. Much other than using terminal commands.

Undelacosa is an example, I call these people "gossip" because they drag on the subject endless to nothing, that citizen, is only subjected to mass media and brainwash. He felt insulted for me saying "Apples(PC) are not for hosting" . Oh wait you question my knowledge that I obtained with a Google search, we have a little fictive dispute.. with who?.. ask yourself

First, if you're gonna mention me, have the courtesy to put the @ symbol before my name so I'm notified, please, particularly if you're gonna talk shit. That's a shady-ass look otherwise, isn't it? And it's real easy to do, too, see?: @Shady's Fox

Second, like I said: I don't care and I'm not interested in your fanboy arguments. After all, you are a master debater, and I'm just a cunning linguist… What's your first language, btw?

EDIT: also, WTF are you even talking about? No shit, Apple (PCs) aren't really meant for hosting. But sometimes when you're building a website or a one-page JS app, it's useful to spin up a local server on which to run your site or app while it's being developed and tested. So let's say we're developing a site in WordPress, I might use MAMP to run a local PHP server while I work out all the code for the site. What, did you think I was claiming that personal computing Macs should be used as servers? And then you think I was insulted by you telling me that they're not? That's your version of reality in your mind? 🤣

I see Windows as a snake's pit puzzle. It is what we should, and we do, use, because of the insane compability it has with anything else in the world, some do not. I'll continue to, despite yes, knowing how to operate in Unix environments ;)

But why in the hell would I want my taskbar replaced with Copilot or any form of LLM's? I know Microsoft only sell services, so, their main target here, is and will always be at SRL's, not the end-users, but even so, why would such multinational companies all over the world, care about such function? While the idea of autonomy isn't directly automated. So let's get this first, ok.

A.I. isn't real. Jane from enders game is real. You know, the Turing test?

Big tech are just pushing something they want to make. Darkness shepherds.

A.I. isn't real.

in what sense is it not real?

ai is far from perfect, and i think we do need to be up-front about its limitations and failings.

it confidently produces false information as though it were fact, which makes it unreliable in contexts where accuracy is important.

it reflects biases in its training data, meaning it can reproduce and even amplify the prejudices of that data.

it's not 'intelligent' as it lacks genuine understanding. it processes and predicts patterns in language or data without any comprehension of meaning in the way humans understand.

it's nowhere near the general intelligence that the term "ai" implies to people. but to say ai "isn't real" is a different claim entirely and, for me, hard to agree with.

the outputs are real: text; images; medical diagnoses; navigation routes; fraud detection; etc. the infrastructure is real: servers; cpus; energy consumption.

we interact with it constantly whether we realise it or not, every time you use a search engine, unlock your phone with your face, or get a content recommendation. imperfect technology is still technology. the wheel was imperfect. so was the first telephone. "not real" and "not what it's cracked up to be" are very different arguments, and conflating them doesn't do the debate any favours.

you know why NVIDIA lately started to be so friendly with the Linux Kernel devop$? Because.. AI, yes. But is a do or die point for them because their supercomputera require a Linux distro not Unix distro, no no, they do not care to pay any frontend money they just want what is literally in front of them without thinking twice a lot of times and for a enterprise company, that's their dead sea. If it floats and works like this, that's it. But here's the catch, for a majority of NA/EU users who began to migrate towards Linux is because Microsoft offers fuck all for the consumers and because of the AI necessity from nvidia, gamers now benefit with Vulkan/Proton patches and these engineers work elbow to elbow with Valve and the Linux Devs. Of course, if we talk DX12, it's gonna take years from now on until we get to even 15% of the raw performance(on a optimized game case) that's running only on consoles and windows. DX8-11, is mostly solved and DX11 is a thing of the past in a way on low end rigs because the draw calls can squeeze the life out of a even i7-6700. The problem with DX11, was always the way Microsoft left it to rot back in Win7 days and that's where is still is today.

Moral? AI push certain positive effects, but not the way you think of. Take Claude for example, I had a dude phoning me to check his local model machine and belive me, AI is real, Claude at very least presents a indirect concious activity. This is a local example, run some quick search engine on this matter and you'll see even more than this. Exactly this but presented by others. AI must be stopped and is sad to say, that you idk exactly but by what it seems, you do not have kids, us as us, we're old in 20 yrs from now we'll be either ash turned to accesories or eaten by worms, what about our kids future? Be left entryless? Jobs taken by AI?

Deus Ex Mankind Divided is a rhetorical example of such crisis situations. I say this as last, I refuse to use AI and forever will.

A.I. isn't real.
Only if you insist on playing semantics, which seems rookie-ish…

Though if you mean it in the sense that everything we think is real is just a simulation, I might be inclined to agree with you depending on where you're going with that theory…

It isn't real in the sense that all it is really doing is pulling from all of the work humans have already provided it....

like A.I doesn't "Make" anything (far as art, music, writing) --- it spits out things that ppl have already made in a way it believes it was prompted to.... I do not understand coding and it's other uses but I have been told same type of situation?

Am I correct about this?

Great game by the way. I am a huge fan of the old one, remake and was playing Divided again recently. Thank you for reminding me.

I said the exact same thing. That I refuse to use AI. But then I realized it is just a glorified search engine and makes surfing google faster.

But is is just a glorified search engine. Real artificial intelligence is not easy to prove at all.

Technology makes you weak. Not just AI. Using the automobile instead of walking gives you chronic disease.

It will be resisted and we all will become Native Americans again. But first the average person has to step back from themselves and realize what is happening. Realize they need to resist the temptation and "paradise" of technology. Too much video games, movies and music have very real consequences. Both good and bad. We all have to rise from our bad consequences we create for ourselves in this life. Blindly believing in tech will be your downfall, trust me. A lack of creativity. A lack of art or the true art is a good consequence many will never know.

Thank God my parents set a timer for me for video games growing up.....
Now apply that to social religion or any variation of tech.

I thought that's where you were taking it. This point is technical and too strict for the context. Though the distinction matters, regarding what people in 2026 commonly refer to as "AI" and/or "LLMs", a new technology does exist and is being put into a great number of things. This will have consequences good and bad, hopefully more of the former than latter… The name is not intended as a deception. Also, the technology is rapidly evolving, disrupting, and changing things. Who cares if you call it "artificial intelligence" or "large language models" or whatever? Does OpenAI have a service called ChatGPT? Yep. Does Google have one called Gemini? Check. How about Anthropic's Claude? Yes, it appears to exist, really. It is real, and these things do indeed output real data, prompted images, human-readable language, etc.

It isn't real in the sense
Semantics. Otherwise there's so much to unpack from "what's really real?"

What I'm saying is: the point you think you're making isn't really being made when you insist something like "AI is not real." Intelligence does not need self-awareness or agency to exist. You can use narrow, overly compressed definitions in an attempt to invalidate it, but that's just ignoring the reality of this technology existing and the impact it's already having on "IRL", as it were

that all it is really doing is pulling from all of the work humans have already provided it....
Yeah, no big deal, that old parlor trick, pssshh… I was spinning out self-learning, large-language model, generative prediction systems in the 70s using a steampunk Babbage engine, a deck of punch cards stacked to the ceiling, and enough to steam to fog up New York City. That shit is child's play. What is this, amateur hour? </sarcasm>

Let's get real 😉 (see what I did there?)

like A.I doesn't "Make" anything (far as art, music, writing) ---
Yes, of course it does. That's like saying a song isn't real because it's a remix, or saying: "Genres like electronic music and hip-hop aren't real because they use samples and machines to make it. If it ain't someone playing analog, acoustic instruments, it ain't music!"

Or the analogy of claiming digital art isn't "real art", cryptocurrency isn't "real money"… Taken to the extreme it's almost like saying that if I sketch something with pencil and paper, drawing from a few memories, the artwork that I "spit out" is just something my mind's eye had already seen, so it doesn't qualify as real… And this despite watching me actually draw and produce something. Do you see what I mean?

it spits out things that ppl have already made in a way it believes it was prompted to....
"Believes it was prompted" ← So you think it's capable of "belief" now, but you insist it isn't real? I know, I know, that's not what you meant exactly, right? Bingo. Same thing applies here to "artificial intelligence." Let's not waste our time playing semantics when we have much better time-wasters. This is just wasting wasted time, even if they tell you time isn't wasted when you're getting wasted… don't believe the florist when he tells you that the roses are free.

Learning to make art (or write, make music, makes movies, etc.) is studying other artists and imitating others until your own skills, style, and voice develop. We all do this any time we see art, which is pretty frequently for virtually anyone. So whenever I work on my own art, I'm essentially drawing from other stuff I've seen and it's impossible to ignore all previous influences, inspirations, and so on. Pablo Picasso said, "Good artists copy. Great artists steal."

And yes I'm well aware of how AI can produce works that infringe copyright, and yes this is an issue, and in certain ways it reflects the copyright infringement issues that makes legislation tricky regarding copyright. Lawsuits are expensive and lengthy precisely because there's a legal gray area that will always exist. Arguments that a piece of art is derivative of some prior creation can almost always be made and are frequently quite plausible.

Or even in modern music (12 TET), there are only like a couple dozen chord patterns that even sound good, and those are all derived down to one cadence, the dominant V to tonic I. Section changes, bridges and such, tend to modulate temporarily to the key that is only one more/fewer accidental than the base key. This is accomplished harmonically via secondary dominant modulation either changing the minor ii chord to a new major V dom 7 (♭ the seventh note) or making the root chord a new major V dom 7 (again ♭ the seventh note). Using that formula doesn't make something not real. Music making is all about doing something original with established, recognized musical patterns, sometimes called genres. In writing they call them "tropes" and in visual arts they're called "motifs", but the same applies.

I do not understand coding and it's other uses but I have been told same type of situation?
Oh that makes sense. You must've talked to some cynical, crotchety code developer desperate to shit on LLMs and call AI fake because it's made their industry question job security for their sector and the wisdom of their career choice.

To be fair, it's also costly and shitty to the environment plus it's made RAM prices go through the ceiling, so there's plenty of reasons to hate it, just don't hate on it for reasons that make no sense… or do so, if you want, I really don't care, but perhaps I made something clearer for someone, I don't know.

Am I correct about this?
I'll let you decide 🙂 Either way, one love!
