I had a few friends that served overseas and they did some heroin and said it was the best body feeling they ever had so I researched it and I read one out of four get addicted. I was firm about doing it one time to see what it is like then never again. Two would lead to three then to four so firmly, once. I acquired some from a girl and must have had it for a year or more so I read about the amount a petite woman with low tolerance would take and stupidly didn't test it for fentanyl. 10 mg is a pin head amount so I got it ready. It was an hour before my wife was due home from work and I was alone at home. I sniffed it and got up and walked 7-8 steps to my bed and laid down in the middle of the bed on my back. I laid my head down and the second my head hit the pillow, I opened my eyes, there were three doctors to my left, three to my right and three at the foot of the bed. I was in the emergency room at the hospital and it was about two hours later. It was like absolutely no time passed, even one second. I was in the hospital for 3 days. The first responders, 4-6 of them couldn't awaken me and afterwards my wife had to go to counseling for the trauma of dealing with it. I have only done a few drugs one or two times in my life with low doses and I am way past retirement so I figured it was time to get this one off my 'to do list'. A week after I came home from the hospital a man and woman from an agency that helps addicts recover, came for a visit. They said they were there to help me with my heroin addiction! I told them I was going to be the easiest person they ever dealt with, I didn't get even one half second of pleasure and went straight to the hospital fighting for my life. My wife often stops off on her way home from work but this time she came straight home, if she wouldn't have I most likely wouldn't be here now to tell what happened to me. Be extra careful everyone, test everything and have a friend with you for first time experiences, this was really a close one that I went through.

First of all, welcome to Bluelight.org. That is quite a story. Are you in treatment now? Curious, I haven't tried opiates to get high, I've always been concerned about becoming addicted, besides oxycodone for pain. I had morphine once because of surgery, but never heroin.
Are you ok now? Do you have cravings?
Love to hear more, keep us updated.

I didn't even get a half second of any feeling from my heroin experience, just a quick snort and I closed my eyes for a blink and opened them and was in the emergency room near death. Pretty easy to quit that one with no temptation to do it again!

I don't see how anyone could become addicted from a one time snort of 10 mg which was mostly fentanyl and they blacked out 8 seconds after snorting it and never felt one second of any kind of good feeling, then woke up in an emergency room surrounded by nine doctors. Their initial test showed an extremely high liver function number of 1200 when it was supposed to be 50. They said they would do another test in eight hours and if it was still higher yet it meant my liver was failing, which would be fatal. I waited nervously for the eight hour test results and luckily they were lower and after three days in the hospital they were near normal and I was released. So, to answer I don't feel I am even mildly addicted to heroin. I'll put it this way, say you were hammering a part in your shop and somehow hammered your nuts with the hammer by accident, would you feel addicted to picking up a hammer and doing it again? A little extreme but you get my point!

As far as addiction goes, Norco may be a different animal, I have been on them for years. Most of the time from friends (I don't like the term "street") and finally from my doctor for my lower back. I used to get that great feeling from just one but now I don't feel anything from three just a mild pain reduction in my lower back. I have never tried quitting so I don't feel addicted but if I were to stop taking them I probably would feel some withdrawal discomfort.

I Was Addicted To The IDEA Of Ecstasy Long Before I Ever Did Any. Addiction Is In Your Thought Patterns. But Boy, Did It Ever Deliver! HOWEVER, That Is As A Rule Of Thumb, Not The Case Today. It’s Somewhat Of A Mystery.

Psychologically, Nearly Every Member Of A Generation Of Lab Rats Will Try A Drug At Least Once. Only 10% Become Addicted.

Bro I'm so sorry for what happened to you that sounds fucked up man. I'm sure this second chance is making the air you breathe is feel a little sweeter; thankfully because it's your first time with it you can roll out this regimen they got you through and be chilling. Stay safe dude.

This is my idea about addicted; If you really enjoy something and do it often, are you addicted? If you play cards several times a week, addicted? NO! My idea of addicted is if you stop doing the thing you enjoy and do often, will you have any physical symptoms? Cramps, shakes, headaches, sweating, etc. No physical symptoms=no addiction. (just my 2 cents!)

Glad you survived your little ordeal, doesn't sound like it was the most enjoyable experience. Waking up with doctors surrounding me is all to familiar with me.

Fentanyl has completely destroyed the opiate/opioid scene, so while your buddies might have been getting actual heroine, it sounds like you got fetty. Heroine does actually have a euphoria to it, while fetty just knocks you out.. most people using it now aren't using because they actually enjoy the high, they just have a habit and don't want to go thru the withdrawals that come along with stopping, so they just continue using.

Stay safe.

I even had a fentanyl test kit and stupidly in a moment of weakness, I just took it without testing. Such a tiny amount, 10 mg, almost took my life and to think it is said a ton of it comes into the USA every year. I try to find humor in everything if possible and there is some in my experience. I ordered 8 fancy looking lasers for several friends and received them earlier that day. Also a friend paid me back a loan of $400 in twenties. I laid back in bed and opened the box of large black lasers and tested each one then laid them around randomly on my bed. I also counted the $20 dollar bills and they were scattered around the bed. Can you imagine what the paramedics thought when they entered my room and found an unconscious, overdosed guy laying on his back in bed surrounded by large lasers and $20's all around me? They had to think that there was some connection, but they are probably still wondering to this day what the connection was!
