EADD Mephedrone (4-MMC) Megathread v. XIV Pirate Flagship

Just got new batch in very fine crystals creamy colour and smells when crushed. Will be trying next monday

It does look like quality is improving over time but still a long way off pre-ban

Some people are even reporting getting horny on some of the stuff available, this for me separates what pre-ban Meph was and the newer Meph. I believe some of the Meph available today is 4-mmc but it lacks that pre-ban warmth and sexyness

This is what I remember except none of the third, almost exclusively the second type I was familiar with. It was like sugar, only a little finer, and fucking stank. Have some old wallets that still stink of the stuff now. I remember my bed sheets would always be stinking after a session.
 
It'll be 16th of April soon(ish), so 5 years since pirate was banned. I reckon April 16th should be known from now on as National Pirate Day!

I can hardly believe it.... I've been taking Mephedrone now for longer whilst it was illegal than I did whilst it was legal. Crazy. It only seems like yesterday... I remember ordering in my final 5g of preban & spending my Easter break at Uni off my tits with my best friend for the better part of 2 weeks. Good little hurrah that was.
 
I answered the door to Ken Livingstone half way through the unintentional binge of my last order before the ban. I vaguely remember wobbling on at him about how I had been on the 'Ken Bus' when I was at uni and he was running for.London Mayor. I only went because it was purple and i was tripping, but now I'm a committed socialist and I couldn't even string a sentence together to chat with him. Argh.
Get ur pirate on Ken.
 
erm awkward, I'm bringing back a thread from the dead, but can't find a better place to post this question

just got a new batch of Mephedrone (seems I was wrong about not ordering any more....)

This batch smells and tastes a lot like Aniseed, I had a quick google and my conclusion is it's most likely because Anisole was used as a precursor and there are impurities from incomplete reactions and/or inadequate purification. It's hitting OK, maybe a bit weak but that might be down to the NAC I'm taking daily.

Given Anisole is used as a flavouring I'm guessing it's not a big issue, if anything it's much nicer to snort now.

@4DQSAR sorry for being cheeky, don't suppose you would happen to know more at all?

How is it for music enhancement and for the old libido? Any effects on confidence / ego etc?

I always thought that it was only ever pre-ban that was off the scale for these things, and I never found any so called "mephedrone" post-ban, that came remotely near, on any of those 'dimensions'.

Pre-ban would have been a 10 on all 3, post ban sometimes managed a 2 or 3 for libido, but did nothing for music or confidence, in my experience.

Anisole is the ultimate precursor for both methedrone (para methoxy methcathinone) which seems to be quite risky and the somewhat safer 3-methoxymethcathinone. I'm not entirely certain if a presumptive test would reliably spot the difference.

30 years ago people were making 3-methoxy methamphetamine and selling it as MDMA as back then it was legal but I seem to recall it was more costly to produce (and not as potent) and that is why it's almost never encountered. If your product was produced in China, the only metric is profit. Purity, safety, legality matter not one bit. The only thing that matters is making a profit and so I would tend to suspect it to be the toxic methedrone rather than the benign 3-MeOMC. The fact the latter doesn't have a common name might suggest that it's not very common.

I always tell people to 'assume the worst' as it's saved my life a few times. If in doubt, dump it.

Right now people are telling me of sources that were solid for years are misrepresenting stuff so be careful.

I've had mixed results, the best I had was post ban and hit like a train on all 3 fronts, very fiendish as well, very stinky fishy smell on it. I'd add that it also had marked empathy improvement, similar to MDMA but without the rose tinted glasses.

have also had a few "pre-ban" examples sold post ban and if anything I'd say they just felt a bit weaker if anything or maybe a better description is more rounded in effect - could easily just be batch variance though.

I've maybe only ever had a total of ~10 different batches so not the biggest sample size to be comparing, they've all been different from each other in terms of effect.

"Methedrone carries severe health risks, particularly a high potential for fatal intoxication. Because of its chemical similarity to other para-methoxy amphetamines (which can cause extreme hyperthermia and fatal cardiovascular events due to MAOI activity), it possesses an extremely narrow therapeutic window."

Good advice.

I read this late and had already snorted a fair amount through the afternoon but that doesn't mean it's safe....

will get it tested, though no way to tell if wedinos can differentiate it with their standard test because their website doesn't have any history and I can't figure out how to drive wayback machine in a way to find any of it in their old test info... hmm

I'll stick it on the form as a concern

another reason to stop taking it as I'd planned to, only reordered this time because of an event coming up where other things weren't very suitable
 
Anyone had any recently? It's been 6 years since I've had any now. Got lots of annual leave to use up before the end of August, and not had any drugs (other than booze) for eight months, so thinking I might get a gram.

it's fairly consistent within the usual bounds of quality from "trusted" DMN suppliers, some better than others and some average at best. Though I think there's a bit of tolerance for me so had planned a break from it/was gonna stop taking it all together, I don't like the fiendish side of it
