Miscellaneous People still trippin' in their elder years - how do y'all look back on life?

I've been thinking about this ever since I resolved to continue to use psychedelics in some capacity throughout the rest of my life since I started as a teenager. I'm still a youngblood with that nascent wisdom - I think my biggest lesson so far has been understanding the utter relativity of reality and using that more or less accurately 'seeing' things from other's perspectives taking into account their own experiences; but I know right away that's super amateur gnosis. I'd really like to hear the perspectives of you oldheads on your full life lived in tandem with psychedelic use. Any big revelations? Secret knowledge that comes with age? Advice for the youngins? I wanna hear your takes and stories.

After a while I suppose it can turn into therapy. A good therapy. Recreationally speaking. wink wink.
Synergy and happy trails all night long and in the day. Be healthy, safe and prosper space trippin all the way.

When are you an elder?

Maybe.

close cropped grey hair here and some hairless scalp in the middle back of head,
I am 74 with 58 years of psychedelic activity.
most people I know (fam and friends and work people) do not know of my interest, or they have forgotten, and I have managed to schedule my doses so that my abilities are not compromised when I have to be responsible. Also I have learned to enjoy lower doses which makes the stash last longer.

I think that my interest in things related to awareness, experiencing, and memory keep me returning to issues of being in the moment, feeling my body position and contact, and following my breath at all intensities of psychedelic effects. While tripping the issue is to relax and keep on relaxing which opens up the fleeting moment nicely even if it feel eternal, being relaxed and open is great.

gnosis is all about memory, so that would be the orientation I recommend as opposed to the posturing of charlatan mystics. pretty diagrams are great, and so is the math that makes them amazing, so if you get snagged on something symmetrical, keep hunting for where it is in nature rather than religion.

So you're saying you're bluelight's old lady? You're certainly wise enough. Best wishes and heavy glitter to you, elder woman!!!

I've got white hairs in my beard.
Dude this started for me at 26 years old, left side only, beard and eyebrow but not the top of my head yet.
Using this opportunity to emphasise I very much enjoy reading your posts, keep it up old man ♥️
I'm also a pupnik enjoyer, glad there's more than one of us haha.
agist maybe?
I definitely think that there's some truth in (at least in the USA) older people having been more conditioned by societal biases. I've often been in conflicts that have escalated dramatically with older people over them saying some out of pocket homophobic or racist shit in front of me, thinking I'd not tell them to keep their mouths shut if they didn't want trouble. I've also met tons of older folks who are exceptionally kickass, many of my mentors in life and the sort. I think there is just often this perception that older people are more "hateful" here due to the way they were conditioned throughout their lives to view bigotry as more acceptable, in many cases. This is also quite regional, in the northeastern USA it was far less of an issue than it is in the south, and it's not that bad in Florida oddly enough.

Not saying this is what the person you were responding to was saying or implying or anything, just throwing in my two cents about why some folks are more hesitant to interact with older people from the specific cultural/regional lens(es) I come from.

Totally lost the plot along the way ... one thought remained you must be old reading till here.
One thing that s sure got way more emotional since coming to the site ~25 ago. And this is ..
empathogenic thread. And just beginning another can of wurms is opened. While my English might a bit show improvements. More fluent typing thoughts.

Cant help to mention the thought that came up those that we left while we carry on.
Were there always these kinda threads this isnt the first aging is confronting. Nicely balanced

🤤learned even to like and use emoticon, that took some adapting one of the big minusses.
Adapting but i am not old just + 50

And this that thinking what a weird avatar. Check post count then the person and find this in a former post. So yeah thats tiring we need no weird individuals to give thread ideas. Get bit crazy here if this is another one made me think about the Sh4b1h figure. ⚠️

"ratatatatatatatatatatat is the sound of my machine gun when I'm ripping thru mall cops on my segway.

I once nutted on a coffee table before selling it on kijiji.
