Im a bit different, but i make my personal carts at .5g into 1mL and ive seen them as low as .1g in a cart, but i think its kind of a ripoff. .2 is pretty common as well.

At .25 one takes a sip just to kind of establish the strength, and take 1 or 2 good rips. Never had a breakthrough but i bet its possible with 4 solid tokes, but also, ive never seen anyone even try to take a 3rd toke.

I think its a good strength for most experienced psychedelic users.

I just have a quick question about 5-meo-dmt. I have recently received some freebase and would like to ask if this looks normal, is this the way it should look like? I have some doubts about it...

According to others that got it from the same source it is very potent, but that brown degraded clumpy mess doesn't give me any confidence, what do you people think about this?
 
Thank you, I was just wondering why it was all brown and clumpy. I had imagined that it would be a off-white or tan powder, but didn't anticipate it looking like this. I ordered reagents as well and will test that stuff before testing it on myself and will be starting in the low single digit mg scale anyways to get a feel for it. I'm quite intrigued I must say, I also have the whole house for myself for the next 9 days and have organized a nice little evening/weekend with a few good friends.
The other sources that had it from the same supplier and claim that it is legit, have the same packaging, but a different lot code and the 5-meo-dmt looks about the same, clumpy and brown. So I guess mine will be legit as well.

Even if it is the freebase (which you can test by its water solubility), this looks dirty as hell (beyond regular deterioration in storage) and whoever produced it should be ashamed. Of course the usual rule applies that colour does not determine purity (a brown solid can be pretty pure with non-harmful contamination, just as well as a colourless crystal may be harmfully contaminated), but come on, whoever did this takes no pride in their work - or is utterly incompetent and unfit for the job.

I wish the free market would drive towards higher quality, but unfortunately there are not enough players for that and many people don't think about which kind of dirt they put in their bodies.

Trust me, even the clearest shard of 5-meo if stored poorly turns into brown clumpy wax within a couple years. Maybe its the n-oxide not sure.

I was appalled when I opened the packaging to reveal that brown mess... It sure looks all degraded and dirty. I got it at a 60% discount from a NL clear-net vendor, perhaps that's why it was discounted? I asked them the same question, but sadly I will certainly never get an answer from them. My delivery was lost too, had to wait over a month for a reship, this will be the last time I bought from them, their service has declined so much over the last years, it used to be better before the big changes in the NL Opiumwet in 2023 an 25, when all PEAs got banned...
I have some tryptamines in my collection that are over 4 years old, and they have not degraded, but they aren't freebase either. I store everything in the freezer, triple bagged with silica gel packs and oxygen absorbers in every layer.
Yeah this stuff disgusts me, the appearance alone reminds me of a piece of shit and it isn't at all worthy to be put in my collection,
I will keep an eye out for a better vendor. that hopefully sells material like yours, Didgital, now I'm jealous, that stuff looks nice, like it should look like and how i imagined mine to look like 👌

See that's the thing. In salt form these things should be stable for decades I imagine. The only salt tryptamine that I had that clearly degraded was some 4-aco-dmt fumarate that i had stored in a plastic container on top of a heating duct hidden in pops basement. came back 2 years and it was literally black goo that was apparently still active but I threw it away.

Honestly I wouldn't worry so much as long as it is still handleable.

I know that DMT yellows even after the best storage conditions (vials under Ar), but that 5-MeO-DMT would be worse?

In any case, I believe that only pure psychs bring pure trips and if it deteriorates in storage, it needs to be cleaned up again instead of being sold.

Fair enough although people pay for discount items all the time because they aren't perfect. In the case of degraded 5-meo or nn-DMT I don't entirely disagree but the impurities aren't going to hurt you (afaik). They're NOT synthetic byproducts which CAN hurt you.

Yes DMT yellows and even the hardest dmt crystal will turn chalky/yellow. Fb 5-meo turns brown and waxy ime

This was my display dmt crystal, i never protected it. 6 months it turned yellow and i touched it and it all fell apart.

Isnt it basically a breakthrough if you cant take another toke? From what i know about it, it seems to literally just be immediate breakthrough the drug.

No. A breakthrough to me is...

communicating directly from source/god. It's really only needed once or twice in a lifetime.

Once you've had a breakthrough you absolutely know it, and the same goes for nn-DMT. I had smoked DMT 30x before i truly broke through.

Carts are wayyyyyyy safer than crystal IMO

Ah i see, well i havent done either yet, so i dont really know what to image xd. Is it comparable to what shulgin calls a ++++?
