A lot of people swear by it.
I was wondering if it was worth taking for a non-gym/non-body builder?
It's the rapid energy and brain boosting efects I'm mostly interested in.

I'm skeptical... but if you can spare the money, Why don't you just try it out?

Sure. It's useful for tolerances and wd too.
Bodybuilders use agmatine for NO but they probably don't realise others use it for psychoactive/therapeutic/tolerance management purposes.

My partner has turned into some health-nut lately & bought some creatine powder.

I honestly don't know if it's helped me at all. I don't really notice any increase in energy or brain power after taking it. But I also wasn't really paying attention very hard after taking it, so I'll have to try it again & take note of any sort of psychoactive effects.

I'm more worried about, since it can be used for building muscle, if it could cause weight gain or damage the kidneys.

i didn't notice any brain boosting effects from it either, i normally take 5g but I upped to 10g to see if it would be noticeable and it wasn't worth it. maybe 20g+ could do something but given the total lack of noticeable effect at 5g and 10g, i'm skeptical.
