Having problems with a certain generic Suboxone pill thats round with 970 on it. It feels like I'm in withdrawal at times and it's horrible. Are the strips better than the tablets?

Any help is greatly appreciated 👍. Thanks.

Long time bupe user -- whenever I get the 970's instead of hexagons I feel like I got ripped a bit.

The strips suck in general -- unless you gunna put em in water and nasal it or something.

Just an unfortunate thing that happens -- you could prolly request your way around em but that will make you look even more "seeker-ish" than however much you do now

You should be aware that the strips of bupe are known to rot out your teeth if you take them as directed. Be very careful to keep them under the tongue and don't let any of the saliva touch your teeth if you can. It is hard trust me I know.

The best thing I found while doing them (other than water lining nasal doses) is to cut the strips in 1mg small pieces (if you get the ones that are 8mg). Then let that small piece dissolve and hold it under you tongue for 30+ minutes if you can. Do not swallow the saliva. Spit it out. Many people report getting headaches if they swallow them an it will force it to make constant with your teeth.

I'm not sure what that means.
Nothing except asking if they were taken sublingual which is a fuckin odd question with suboxone.

I dont think there is any great advice to be had. Call ahead to the pharmacy and ask them what brand they currently have in stock. (You aren't the only picky, or even pickiest sub user they get if its a chain -- pretty sure it is there obligation to tell you which brand before filling the script if you call first. (Due to allergies -- but really personal preference and capitalism! You are paying for these)

So call first and if they only have fuck lemme look up the manufacturer/generic brand -- its "Sun pharmaceutical industries" I believe that makes the 970s if that is all they have thank them kindly and hang up. Than call every other pharmacy that you find worth driving too and see if they have the hexagons; if so call the script over from pharm A to pharm B --- if your sub doc asks just be honest and say idk if its place bo but these ones seem to give me way less relief; depending on rapport you could hit him with an "I almost relapsed or 'I just dont wanna relapse' '' -- make it your own lol

Yea the strips will rot your teeth out.

The pills dont?? Someone smarter than me please do tell me what binder in the strips is killing your teeth?

Its a whole pain in the ass -- I just take the 970s when I get em, but I always felt they were sketch --- even moreso since I never heard of that manufacturer and I been around pills 25 years looking makers up

I personally despised the films. The pills were better not great. Until I forced the switch over to Subutex. My God did like 90% of my funky side effects disappeared.

Towards the end of my stint I got tired of holding saliva in my mouth for 15-20 min and resorted to sniffing them. The tex pills are much much much smaller. Same duration, faster onset, and slightly stronger that way. But I do not endorse abusing your prescription, just sharing my experience.

Well since it was stated they are pills SL would be implied.
Op, There’s SL tablet SL buccal film alsoER SQ injection. What I was asking is it mono or combo? Does it have nalx?

Yes the 970s have naloxone

Agreed almost everyone at our clinic opted out of the strips -- more accurately claimed they had a side effect

I've researched manufacturer ingredients lists for all kinds of different bupe generics & compared them to Suboxone strips active & inactive ingredients. And almost all the generic pill brands have the exact same ingredients, just in varying ratios.

My guess is it's the citric acid & artificial sweeteners rotting people's teeth. Why the makers of Suboxone are being sued for this, while the generic companies are allowed to keep making the same medicines that'll rot your teeth is beyond me.

You don't hear about Subutex & generic mono-buprenorphine rotting anyone's teeth. Probably cause it doesn't contain the sweeteners & citric acid like Suboxone & all the generics do.

I see a lot of people mistakenly thinking that it's the actual buprenorphine that rots your teeth, but I'm skeptical of that. I think bupe might be slightly acidic, but probably not enough to rot your teeth compared to citric acid & shit like acesulfame potassium & sucralose (sweeteners used in Suboxone generics). Though I'm open to being wrong.

I can't get my doc to switch to Subutex or just generic mono-bupe. She's always got some bogus ass excuse, even after many many years.
It sucks, cause it makes me wonder if half of my mystery health problems could disappear if I didn't have to put all those extra, nasty, toxic inactive ingredients in my mouth every day, that are in Suboxone & all of it's generics.

I have had Subutex & mono-buprenorphine in the past a few times & it was definitely a bit of a cleaner experience & waay smaller of pills. Why they feel the need to make these damn Suboxone pills so big is ridiculous. It would be so much faster & easier to let a small pill asbord, but no, I gotta put 2-3 giant hexagons under my tongue. Like who came up with & decided all these logistics when designing these medicines? It's absurd.

I can't figure out either if it's buprenorphine giving me severe headaches or the naloxone, cause my doctor won't even let me try & switch to figure it out. It's exhausting dealing with our stupid institutions.

Thank you for the research -- that is what I figured, so strips pills, either way your teeth gunna be jacked.

They are smaller, if nothing else that counts for alot. The amount of binders in those big goofy bastards is silly.... We half steppin backwards towards methadone biscuits or?

*edit* I find it VERY tough to believe the 8mgs of buprenorphine is jacking your teeth up -- just not enough substance to teeth contact. 4 mgs is like a speck if I recall, id round to the closest 5 mgs making soltutions up cuz you gunna lose 2-3 mgs every time yo dip into the bag just floating off into the air or w/e..
