Hey, so I currently buy 8 mg Dilaudid shields (the white pills). I have been snorting them but feel like I'm not getting high and am wasting them. I'm not looking to shoot them up but was curious about how to plug them and if it would be any stronger.

I also get those same pills once in a while & I find that it takes about 2 days of sniffing them for it to build up enough in my system to get me high. The 3rd day I am usually able to get whacked on half the dose of the prior 2 for some reason?
Also, to plug those you need a oral syringe & break the pill down & mix it with lukewarm water the take the solution in through a cotton ball then insert about 2 inches & slowly release the drug & stay in that position. I've never done it but that how I read up on when I was considering doing it a while ago. I heard some people just lubed the pill up & popped it up there? But I wouldn't do that.
Be careful, that substance is very strong & has snuck up on me several times & put me out of commission.

The truth is that the bioavailability for the two ROA's you've provided are pretty similar. I would not expect a huge difference in effects, though it will give your sinuses a break. I respectfully disagree with @SigmaDrugCollector on one small point. I don't consider filtration to be necessary for rectal administration. Wash your hands and be hygienic. Use sterile water and you'll be fine.
I generally use 5ml of water for this process. The pills you have should be readily soluble in water. Just crush and mix for a few seconds and you should see a uniform solution. Draw up into your oral syringe. As our above poster said, lukewarm water is best. You want it to mimic your internal temperature. Water that is too cold can trigger a response that you don't want. For beginners, it's best to be laying on your stomach or on your side.
Insert the syringe about 1.5 inches into your rectum. Depress the plunger slowly. Wait a few seconds then slowly remove the syringe. You want this action to be slow as not to have suction. Effects should be pretty similar to your experience with insufflation.
