Opioids Xanax & Hydrocodeine

Hey all,

I will be taking 1-2mg of Xanax tomorrow morning at about 10:30am for a procedure . Normally i take my pain meds around 4pm . Is that enough time in between the two to safely take them for just one day ? Also, if it is safe , will i still feel the warm fuzzies of the pain meds ? Or will the Xanax taken that morning cancel out all the goodness from pain meds ?

If anything the Xanax will potentiate the sedative effects of your pain meds. Mind you mixing benzos and opiates can be an extremely dangerous and deadly combination. However, with that being said the active effects of Xanax last 6hrs max. Personally I only get about 4.5hrs outta Xanax. Regardless, the Xanax will be inactive or close enough to it that there shouldn't be any dangerous interactions with your pain meds.

AWesome thanks for the reply . As far as feeling the pain med later on , will i still feel the fun effects from it ?

Most definitely. There's even a slight chance that the residual benzo activity will enhance the "fun" of your pain meds. However, with the timing I wouldn't count on that happening.

Btw what pain meds are you using?
