Okieee dokiee I'm looking for tips for Good EDM nightlife in Melbourne's CBD for a meth-head/tweaker to enjoy.

Who likes booming thumping techno when high on ice? Don't get me wrong I often like to go to over 28's drinkers bars with commercial house/pop/dance/rnb music being spun by a DJ when high on crystal meth. It's just those venues don't appreciate punters smoking meth in the confines of one of the toilet cubicales.

what i am really looking for is a venue where security really don't mind if you take 5 minutes to smoke a bit of meth in the toilets.

Like how good is it being out and about visiting Melbourne's CBD when on ice buzzin hard . Although what i really love to do is spending 12 hours in some dark dingy room listening to thumping dance music when flying high off ice.

I really miss the days of Hard kandy at billboard not to mention Cage above charltons pool hall and Bass station at CBD night club Mackillop street.

oh fuk it we'll make it a national/international list. So anyone on BL please list your go to places for EDM tweaker madness

I'm a old bastard and I haven't been out to a EDM/hard trance club since Bubble/PHD in "09. yes I am that old.
I'm of the generation that would pick up beat magazine or impress magzine to find out where all the cool techno kids would go.

But alas both magazines have gone the way of the dodo.

For younger BLers who know the scene I'm looking for nightclubs like cloud nine, wah wah,, rats and tramp.
Preferably with a relaxed door entry policy and opening hours that extend well into the morning/lunchtime

I know about Revs but have no interest in going there because I live on the North-west side of town.

Being a middle aged mum now listing in regional Vic, I have no insights on this one in the current Melbourne clubbing scene - maybe others will!

I really miss the days of Hard kandy at billboard not to mention Cage above charltons pool hall and Bass station at CBD night club Mackillop street.

Back in the 2000s, I also remember these kinds of events - we did reagent pill testing at Cage nightclub a few times back in the day. And Billboards was quite something.

This Friday night, there's an event on called Shadows of Wonderland by Hard Kandy (they are still around!). The Victorian drug checking service will be there too! Yes, they also test meth - they accept anything that is not plant material, pretty much.

I am regularly involved in the Melbourne psytrance scene.

to be honest meth is frowned upon in the psy scene. and it's pretty obvious those who are on it in our scene. I am sure people do smoke it at doofs but if they do they it in their tents or out of sight. but the darker psy parties that I am involved with - yeah pretty much nobody is on meth..all psychs, MDMA, ketamine and unfortunately now a crap load of coke.

and clubs in melb CBD now almost everywhere you will get kicked out if caught smoking meth lol. it's not 2008/9 anymore.

but there are loads of clubs where the bouncers kinda turn a blind eye if 3 dudes come out of cubicle - you won't get kicked out.

but yeah I don't recommend smoking meth in clubs anymore

I dunno meth and music have never really done it for me. I don't wanna feel horny for 10 hours at a club. I want to enjoy the music and get lost in the atmosphere.

but yeah I am generally not a big fan of meth.

I don’t ever think the tweaker/methamphetamine addiction culture was ever really present in clubs.

Most meth addiction ends up usually in the confines of home party/trap houses where people share the pipe and live the lifestyle together.

Although made out to be a party drug, most of the party aspect to it was in the gay club culture.

I never really saw it around clubs that much. Not smoking or injecting anyway.

Back in 2007 I knew people who smoked and used quite a bit, and it was always around a trap house.

A dealer would come around with a stash or it would be the dealers home, then everyone would stay around smoking or snorting meth.

The party generally ran for about 3-4 days. Most people didn’t even notice themselves sliding into a habitual pattern of use.

Methamphetamine addiction generally takes two paths, one is a consistent downward spiral of more and more use to keep the “euphoria”. This always ends up with lack of sleep and all the negatives that come with not being able to maintain a stable routine…

Or, not using.

I’ve not really seen that much in between.

Methamphetamine as a tool, is really great as a long lasting stimulant when needed in extreme circumstances. Other than that, it’s just far too long lasting to be of use for anymore than those specific use cases.

This is why amphetamine is a far better tool. Last nowhere near as long and essentially the same effects at low 5-10mg to medium 20-30mg doses.

At 50mg amphetamine isn’t very pleasant, even d-amphetamine has your heart thumping, unlike meth-amphetamine.

Either way. For social places like clubs, most people usually prefer MDMA and Cocaine. Sometimes museum level doses of 2C-B or even if your in a chilled out space, MDA.

Having kids and focused on exercise to stay fit and healthy, I haven’t been to a club since 2021, and even that was in Russia.

Last time I was in a club in Melbourne was sometime around 2014/15.
