Paraphernalia Did I fuck up my pipe?

I was cleaning my aluminum piece today with some really strong cleaner, allowing it to sit for a few hours before I took it out for a wash & dry. Now it came out all fucked up like this

The shiny coating is pretty much gone - I honestly don't care how it looks, just if the shiny coat wasn't holding back any potentially poisonous chemicals.

Hummm... Why bother about poisoning, it's a smoker's device anyway. Which ain't a nice thing to say, i know. But the real motive for me to reply at all is just this basic observation: it looks better where your fingers didn't touch often, so maybe it's only a matter of some chemical reaction with skin oils. If so perhaps it can be cleaned for real and even look good again, though IMO this concern for toxicity in smoker paraphernalia is purely paradoxal while there are good vaporist pipes.

The blemishing is from the bong cleaning product I used. I bought the pipe the other week.

I should be investing my money into a vaporiser, but the good ones (where I'm at) are like $150-$400 which I would rather spend on more weed or drugs. I'm pipe gang 4 lyfe.

People be smoking battery acid but be worried that their pipe is toxic lol

I’ve been there too lol I guess if you’re not gonna care when it matters the most might as well try to care where you can

Hear my thoughts, in case you're a citizen of the USA...

Mind control, the long shadow of a family tradition

Once more, here comes doctor Nora Volkow displaying a triumphal prohibitionist smile in the Oval Office. She may look like just any other scientist in a white suit, except we must refer back to the months before Nixon's disgraceful resignation to fully decipher such historic scene.

This most influential addiction specialist grew up in a house of ghosts, where her great-grandfather the Russian revolutionary Leon Trotsky got assassinated in 1940. To her, every dope user is a potential risk that must be managed, so she naturally transitioned from a world of red revolution to one of gray matter studies, digging deep inside compulsive minds.

🤯

The compassion lure, a trojan horse

It turns out NIDA was created on May 14, 1974 exactly. She became the architect of this "War on Drugs" legacy institution since 2003, no wonder she smiled back at Donnie on December 18... NORML's strategy of pity-begging for the sick is a total failure, it simply paved the way for a fresh-new industry where biometrics including mood, heart rate and DNA are the real product to harvest. In other words it's a simple shift from law enforcement to medicalization, possibly switching from a logic of incarceration to a form of coerced conversion therapy.

Cocktail effects to sustain an industry

Never mind about Public Health, we should expect a self-justifying ecosystem that relies on the vilifying of cannabis and its noble molecules. If "legalization" is the next step of a distant future, then that will come with some huge catalog of sanitary additives, similar to Health Canada's socio-toxic model featured with a concept of "non-detection", in absence of combinatorial C(n, r) restrictions.

The trick is this, there's never going to be sufficient resources, time nor money to verify every single savvy recipe hiding synergy toxicities. As a result "strange" diseases will emerge that cause cannabis to get all the blame. Waste no time waiting for Nora Volkow & friends to explain how the next few generations are bound to be exposed to cumulative effects until they themselves become a source of epidemiological data for even more studies.

That's going to work like a perfect leash in the digital age, her sparkling smile in the oval office certainly wasn't one of generosity and altruism. Welcome to prohibition v3.0: an era when citizens carry a cage with no bars in their own pocket, for a lack of collective memory.

...

In short, better think twice about that penny-wise calculation; recent events suggest that waiting is a luxury which could make you regret every cent that was saved.

Good day, have fun!! ☮️

i dunno if that's safe to use, but i'd get a bit bigger glass pipe and you'll probably get a better hit. if you get a new pipe make sure it has big air ways for the smoke to pass through. i think having one of those little holes on a pipe called a carb help a lot..

you might want to list what type of cleaner and metal the pipe is if you want a response... not sure if that will help. you can probably google.

I ended up sanding the shit out of it and looks much 'better' so to speak.

I was using Green Goddess (polish remover + iso + epsom) and I left the pieces stewing around in there for about two hours. It looks like it just stripped the colour and shine from the outside. A good old wash after the sanding did it some good.
