Ibogaine FDA approval today in the USA

I have a theory that we are about to see a major liberalization in the way drugs are legally prescribed. I´m shooting from the hip here, but I´m an old hat at this bullshit and my predictions have come true previously. We now have an extremely corrupt administration. They are openly corrupt and practically proud of it. However, public support is drying up in the wake of... all of our lives going to shit in the span of a single year... what is one way to get people docile, malleable and dependent? You give them all the drugs they want. Give them a means of taking their mind away from the political realitites; the realities of our collective quality of life.

We have Kratom extracts that are equipotent with powerful Opioids like Oxycodone being sold in smoke shops, gas stations and bodegas. Nobody has said or done shit. If we were to go back 10 years and this Kratom thing had been where it is at right now, I guarantee you moves would have been made to get rid of it. It would have been identified, they would have talked about it in the press for a few months, a bill would be announced and each state would start banning it one after another ahead of a full federal ban. I understand this shit has been banned in some specific locales, but it´s everwhere I look.

Bear in mind, psychedelics have a MAJOR, major antithetical quality in regard to the United States Government´s policy on drugs. Heroin and Cocaine are addictive drugs yes, but Cannabis and Psychedelics were the drugs that the youth were going to be on when they caused a revolution that would destroy everything. They are drugs that affect the mind in a way that no entity can truly police. If the DEA and the president are willin to sign a bill allowing pyschedelic drugs any kind of legitimate place in medicine or society, we are seeing the start of a major policy change.

Will I vote Trump if he guarantees a quarter-ounce of Dilaudid in my mailbox every week, no. If he throws in some Cocaine, I might be able to make some concessions regardin my ¨morals and convictions¨.

Kratom extracts and Ibogaine have nothing to do with one another aside from both being psychoactive drugs. You’re talking about getting dilaudid and cocaine from the government, and honestly you are just shiting on this post with your negative perspective while I am here trying to promote harm reduction and inform people about the changes that were promised to us by the current president in regards to reworking the Controlled Substance Act of 1970 put in place by good ol’ Tricky Dicky (Richard Nixon for all the plebs). You probably have never had a real trip in your life or you just did a bunch of lightweight bullshit while calling yourself a psychonaut. Society truly is just becoming dumber and dumber these days.

You’re right man. Thank you for having a level head and keeping matters to the main topic which is about harm reduction and recovery. Insulting people’s families is a low blow and none of us really know each other IRL. I seriously dislike how everyone online these days thinks they are hot shit and know everything while assuming everyone else around them is a liar. I don’t use AI for my comments and I rarely even have to google search as well. I am not a child and I will not tolerate this behavior. Godspeed

I apologize i was out of line. Im willing to let by gones be bygones

I guess this is a step in the right direction though ibogaine has never been illegal in Canada or most of the world i dont think. So not much of a step foreward really.

Also theres a big difference between something being approved to treat a condition and actually being able to get it prescribed. Most doctors are very conservative in their prescribing practices

this is just a typical distraction from the obliteration of our country, military, world standing and trumps child rape scandals

The FDA has to actually approve it. The executive order does not approve it.

This will kill people. but then again they are all dying anyways from fent-tranq.

FDA drug approval takes a year minimum AFTER all the testing and manufacturing has been done optimized.

so it’s good to get things moving in this direction but

it’s likely bound to happen about as soon as alcatraz gets re opened

I just wanna say that I am not politically charged like that and I side with no one politically in the sense that we all have to make our own objective decisions for ourselves. As the say “together we stand. Divided we fall”. I’m not even pro right or left. Libertarianism is different than liberalism or conservatism (it means less government power and more power in the people’s hands). If we keep bickering about politics just because we dislike the current government then we the people will fail and they will rule over us. This post isn’t about Trump or even Joe Rogan. It is simply about reducing harm, helping people that are suffering find new avenues to heal, and propagating the field of scientific research as well. I never thought this day would come, so I’m excited to share it. We all need to take a chill pill and work on not letting our emotions get the best of us. Thank you and have a good one 1️⃣

It could still get turned down for approval to cant it? Honestly this is a ill believe it when i see it thing. Also ibogaine is not without its dangerous such as heart problems. I would like to try it to quit smoking but honestly the risks kinda scare me. Not that smoking wont kill me in the end either same with street fent for junkies who could benefit from this. But i think most doctors would have a problem prescribing something like this

It's sad the amount of people that completely disregard what occurred during Obama's presidency, yet take issue with what is going on during Trump's. Do a little research and you'll see everything that the delusional left is protesting now, Obama did when he was in office.

Obama built cages for immigrants or expanded existing facilities, yet when Trump does it he's compare to Hitler? The people that compare what happened during the Holocaust to what Trump is doing now, and Obama and Clinton did with no backlash, need a history lesson.

Thank you for sharing this, because you are 100% correct in that all of the sudden many people who are completely uneducated and unaware of the political situation in this country alongside all of its history seem to come out of the woodwork to gang up on people for no good reason. This post is about harm reduction not about either Trump or even Joe Rogan. It truly is sad how severely mentally handicapped much of our population is becoming this day in age, and it isn’t just in the USA.
 
I wonder if the success rate for widespread ibogaine therapy would be lower or higher than it is these days? Will treatment become standardized and more efficacious or will we witness a regression to the mean?
 
I wonder if synthetic ibogaine could be sythed without the cardiac effects? Then id sure as hell try it

there are a couple anaolges around already, just skim the wikipedia page, but it seems the specific root bark alkaloid cocktail is actually a good amount more effective at what it does than the synth variant sadly

i have no hope in workers being treated fairly and our taxes not all being stolen and handed to billionaires. but there’s an obvious difference in choice between access to freedoms such as abortion, euthanasia, drugs (cannabis), gay marriage, freedom of religion, access to scientific funding- don’t even try and tell me democrats and republicans are the same on those specific issues
