High dose of 6-APB and heavy legs

Hi everyone,

This weekend, after quite a long time, I took what I think was too high a dose of 6-APB. This happened because I had an old batch and assumed the potency had decreased a bit—but that turned out not to be the case.

Normally I take 200–220 mg as a first dose (succinate) and a booster of 90–100 mg. These were during times when I went to parties more often, usually about once every 2–4 months. This dosage has always given me a lot of energy, allowing me to dance for hours.

Last weekend, I took 250 mg as my first dose. The booster (120 mg) was supposed to be taken a few hours later. However, stupidly, I took the booster just 1.5 hours after the first dose, right after arriving. When I arrived, I was feeling good, but I already noticed that my legs felt heavy. This only got worse, to the point where I ended up sitting more than dancing which I found really disappointin but my legs/body just didn’t cooperate. I simply couldn’t get them to move.

My question is: is this due to the excessively high dose? Or are other factors playing a role?

I haven't taken 6apb (sadly) but sedation and dissociation are well known effects caused by MDMA once you enter the higher end of the dosing scale.

Yes, I’m familiar with that as well, and to be honest, I also tend to take doses that are too high with MDMA, which leads to unpleasant side effects. That’s why I switched to 6-APB, but maybe this was also the tipping point from a good experience to a bad one due to the high dosage.
