"Corrupt moron politicians denied us something so we will suggest to corrupt moron politicians that no one else gets anything either."

I wasn't seriously bemoaning the fact that injecting rooms aren't provided in workplaces. It was just to illustrate that you can't (and shouldn't have to) cater for everybody.

I'm sick of pandering to people's retarded beliefs. It's the same with Sikhs who are allowed to carry ceremonial daggers and don't have to wear crash helmets on motorbikes because it will mess their turbans up, just because they 'have faith'. Faith isn't going to protect your head when you hit a tree. Why should they be allowed to live by different rules?

Funny pic BTW, but not really relevant as this is about religion, not immigration (though admittedly, there is a strong correlation).

I agree ,it would be interesting how insurance companies view this
Personally regardless of my faith we should all adhere to the same laws
A bit rich comming from me on this particular forum lol

they're just praying in public. they're not sticking anything in your face.

in short, they're not doing anything at or to you. it's not about you at all.

as i mentioned earlier, you have more control here - just look, or walk away...

Yeah right🫣.. but it can be seen to be a show of force or power etc and could be very intimidating for the non religious inclined or whatever giving the suicide attacks bombers or stabbers and all that shit that kicked off in da Uk

How often does it happen anyway? Just a Reform talking point IMO and I'd rather be around a bunch of Muslims than a bunch of Reformers.

Not gonna lie though those Muslims are very conservative and most likely dont support lgbt.
Live and let live ,I've no prejudice against any religion ,culture but I did have a little chuckle when out for a meal one day when a lady (I assume ) had to lift her headgear slightly every time she shoveled food into her mouth
Yeah there cutie pies, that little middle eastern giggle they get and there crazier then slavs.

It does me no harm.

indeed.

but you're asking them to pander to you because you're offended...

but it can be seen to be a show of force or power etc

if something can be seen that way, then it can also be not seen that way.

there's what's happening. and there's how we choose to respond to that.

if you don't like it, you have control - look, or walk, away. solved :)

They may or may not "support lgbt", same as Christians, Catholics or Jews in that respect. It's not up to me to untangle an individual's religious beliefs, but again if they're not bothering anyone, I don't see any massive reason to get upset.

Oh, I'm not offended. I just think it's all very silly.

so we should ban things now because somebody thinks they're silly?

i'm getting bit of a mixed message so forgive me but you sounded pretty offended when you wrote:

"I'm personally sick of religion (of all denominations) being forced down my throat."

and

"I would define it as 'Overt and gratuitous displays of mass worship in a public space not designated for that purpose, with the potential to cause obstruction, disruption, and possibly intimidate and offend other users of that space'."

My tenth grade biology teacher tried to force me to stand for the pledge of allegiance and I refused. This was back during the Iraq war in the southern US when there was tons of momentum for things like putting the Ten Commandments back in classrooms or even bibles.

Interesting that two decades later the question regarding prayer and such has shifted in this direction.

The ten commandments are concise and legible. There are significant advantages to having a moral compass, regardless of what book it originates from. Even non-religious parents can teach their kids to have a moral compass.

I see no issues with taking the 10 commandments seriously and ignoring the rest of the bible.

Also I'm not christian. You're not conversing with a christian who has a religion to defend.

(as an aside, I set the other user to ignore, the one who keeps moving the goalposts)
I imagine the ten commandments were known by everyone and their dog before Moses got his hands on them
There were laws scribed in clay hundreds of years before in the near east which pretty much covers half the commandments, the rest relate to monotheism

never actually new or thought about turban wearing Sikhs being unable to wear a crash helmet ,the same applies to building sites as well with hard hats
Apparently the law only applies to turban wearing Sikhs (UK)
There's no issue with insurance either
