Miscellaneous What happens if you trip as a blind person???

I've been reading tons of shroom trip reports. They tend to be very "visual" for obvious reasons.

Suddenly I wonder:

What happens if a blind person takes psychedelics? Is there a trip report out there detailing the experience?

A friend who has been blind since birth is quite the fan of magic mushrooms.

Whatever else, it sure makes them happy!

But they described how sound (they are a musician) and senses of touch, taste and time all distort and from what they said, they seem to get more out of it than most.

Great person. They will sometimes ask me to 'play that great music you put on last time' without even naming it. Sometimes I guess right, sometimes I guess wrong. But in either case, they enjoy it.

Obviously I DO avoid my more extreme musical tastes. No sane person wants to listen to 'Buyer's Market' more than once - certainly NEVER while tripping. So I rein myself in and put on some classic psychedelia such as Nuggets - which I gifted them last Christmas. The moment The Chocolate Watch Band kicks in, they grin like a loon.

Downsides? I get the drinks and food. It's not that I've never consumed mushrooms, but I've reached an age where I can just enjoy being around people who are tripping. It's one of the few times I can help others so I guess I might be unconsciously being selfish - using them to be happy?

Noooo. Not selfish at all.

Hanging with your friends that are tripping and looking after them, putting on tunes n stuff that make them smile?

Saintly, mate. Saintly....

Good question, I guess if blind people can dream and interpret images the same goes for tripping
