I’m wondering if there’s any significance between someone’s IQ and their likelihood of developing a drug addiction. I just took the Mensa IQ test, and I scored 129. I’m just curious where the rest of the world is at with their scores.

Good question, lot of people that get lost in drug s have great mind s. Does that equal IQ somehow i doubt that these would make or finish such a test. The only ultimate answer before starting to scratch square nr .. after that awareness. What is this for dumb shit. Repetition patterns and stupid question s. And stop before finishing that should give either the highest or the lowest. Just my theory.

Did a old skool one when i was drafted for the army. Tried to fuck it up really boring and fuck army s. Didn t get me disqualified but they don share the info gathered. Doing that with 18 year old s is imo retarded. And sick some people are tested psychological essentially this seem to follow the same principle.

Didn t you have that effect ? Did the Eysenck IQ test under influence way later for the sake of why not. Scored round 120 better on the 2-nd trial. So it was def. a dull night nothing better to do ? Besides being a sort of mind sport, it felt pretty dumb. Better then the old skool one. Did surprise myself with that score. On ... what does that say about a test.

Isn t it so with these tests someone grown up in a different environment will probably fail. But might have skill s way beyond it. Just not measurable to the thing s tested for in it ?

Without looking it up online what is an average IQ
The fact I'm having to ask might indicate my own IQ 🤣
But I get by as an electrician and never failed a mandatory course /test yet

I think they base the average around 100. Not sure if that's intentional or not, which came first the chicken or egg, or a coincidence that the average hovers around such a pretty number

Is there an actual verified test you can take online

Not verified no.

There are many many iterations.

If you want to take something somewhat reliable online, try the Wonderlic, then convert your score to what people think is the equivalent IQ score.

Because @lost weekend when you get IQ done in person from a professional, there is actually a test of how seriously the person was taking the test. Its a factor they use. I forget the name for it.

There are more nuances to why the professional in-person test is the only credible way. And even so, they already have their own idea of "intelligence", based on what a group of people think it means.

I don't think so ,someone with a high IQ by virtue may have better opertunies in life
Jobs,housing,disposable income etc
I think addiction can certainly be a trait that runs in a family
Both my uncles and my grandfather were functional alcoholics (until one of them got asked to leave Strathclyde police lol )
Back then Drugs possibly were not as easily to get as they are now so alcoholism was a huge problem

I don’t know the number but my ADHD assessor called me high IQ whatever that means.

I am autistic, I have adhd and EUPD.

It was pretty much almost guaranteed I would gravitate to drugs,

Not only for relief of my pains but the sheer fact my brain finds everything so boring and gets bored of things quickly. That’s not a brag it fucking sucks.

It also is a fucker for seeing everything so directly and negatively.

I think I'd rather not know mine ,what's the point ?

Can't remember if I said to you before but my son is also autistic and man can he play the guitar
He missed alot of schooling but he picks things up quicker than I did at his age

At an early age it can be used to identify kids with special needs.

There are other reasons too. But yeah, at the end of the day I think it makes more people feel bad than good. Even if you do score well, putting numbers on people is objectifying

Yeah I agree with that. It made me think of my intial stage when I begun the gym. Because I’m a 5”11 male, the fact I wasn’t above 180lbs messed with me as it was “victim weight” and all that shite.

I’m 70kg (154lbs) or so, and I look great. Just because I’m not a monster on the scale doesn’t matter. I’m so glad I got over that.

I know if I knew my IQ it would make my inner critic howl with laughter, and confirm my insecurities about my abilities etc. I’m glad I don’t

I'm to old now so what's the point ,I am who I am .
Unless I find myself in court for a serious crime then maybe I could play dumb lol
