Benzos long term.

Oh damn 18 months for a simple bottle smash!! -- more theatrical than pain inducing usually! (Depending on a bunch of variables I suppose but IME) a fight starter not finisher...

UK? "Assualt with a deadly weapon" or w/e the equivalent is?

I also avoid going out in general.

Not temper issues as much as I just dont know or care to meet anyone where I live.... (Main jobs are C.O's and other ish at the prison -- or university but that is closer to the town I left)

I have never had a violent crime hanging over me --- cuzz uhh I have never been violent (sure thats the reason). I took pretty calculated risks usually, if I was steppin at ya sideways you were in no position to "call" anyone and explain yourself.

Violence is no fun though. I love in "Kingsman" (I think) when samuel jackson shoots some guy "Didnt that feel good"- ---- "No it was horrible, my ears are ringing, theres blood all over my shit...doubt I forget this any time soon"

Not sure if he served 18 months or if after he smashed the bottle over guys head He attempted to use it again as a weapon

I'm the same I can't be arsed meeting the same people in the same pubs every weekend so just stay at home

Ahh I got you, yea after the first swing it "By law" becomes a bladed/point having weapon.

Yeh don't know ,even if he didn't start the aggro the courts prob consider it a deadly weapon once smashed

I seen him about 10 years ago and he was a broken man

the damn court system certainly will do that to a person. (93% recidivism or something? In norway they got a prison with 23% recidivism -- cmon guys "Trust the science" and whatnot)

Sorry to hear it however it happened

Yeh the guy could have been tagged as I'd imagine he learned his lesson but I suppose justice for the victim is taken into account

^I feel like more benzos --- and less meth in society overall = less violence.

That is a very rough working theory at this point however.

I'm in my early 20s and have had a daily benzodiazepine prescription (0.5mg clonazepam, 0.25mg twice daily) for over three years. It changed my life. I'm dependent on it, both physically and mentally, but I treat it like any other medication. Taken responsibly, it works well for me.

I don't plan on stopping. Honestly, why would I? It's what allows me to feel like a functioning, relatively normal person.

That said, I'd strongly caution anyone without a steady prescription against experimenting with benzodiazepines. As most people here already know, they're no joke, especially when it comes to getting off of them.

I urge you to use caution getting "Married" to them so to speak, early 20's you could still bail. But if ya need em ya need em.

IMO the much larger problem is cutting ppl off em rather than puttin ppl on em

Oh, the "damage" is already done, and I was the one who asked to be put on them in the first place. My psychiatrist has the personality of a donut, but I've known him forever. Luckily, he's "old-school," and since I'm already dependent on them, I don't see him ever taking me off. No prescriber who went to school within the past 10–15 years would put patients on them. It's too much of a liability, given how heavily they've been fear-mongered. I actually got into an argument with a nurse at an urgent care a while back who was trying to tell me about the "new research and literature" on them. I told her yeah, no shit, they cause dependence (who would have thought?), and you'll be worse off without them than before you started if they're abruptly discontinued.

They serve their purpose in my life. Why wouldn't I take a low dose of something that helps me immensely? I shouldn't have to suffer needlessly, and as far as I'm concerned, the side effects of long-term benzo use at a semi-therapeutic dose are really nothing to worry about.

As I understand it, you'd have to explicitly say you're selling them, going through them in two days, or mixing them with other CNS depressants to actually get taken off of them.

Has anybody just stayed on benzodiazepines long term and not had issues? Or do they basically just stop working eventually. My whole drug issues in the first place started because ive never felt normal/totally comfortable in social situations (I think im probably pretty autistic tbh I have multiple symptoms of it and have been asked my people if I am) and im at the point where im thinking about just using benzos forever so I can live the way I want to instead of being handicapped by my discomfort in social situations.

Has anybody done daily dosing long term ? Ive tried using benzos twice a week and it doesnt work because rebound anxiety means you are worst a day or two after using them, so maybe just using them and accepting being dependant is the better option now.
If you stay on them long enough you get tolerance withdrawal and thats a fucking bitch. I was on them in 6th grade was basically suffering all of 7th and 8th grade from that because of my idiot doctor. If you dont up the dose you go into withdrawal. I wouldnt recommend taking them long term the withdrawal can fuck you up for years before you return normal. I think short term use can be beneficial if you have severe anxiety or insomnia isseus and you have sleeped for like 5 days.

Objectively false. I was prescribed 3 a day when I was like 16, it is 20 some years later and I am still on three a day. They work every night. This is not a one off either.

You will not get the same buzz that you did when you first started taking them -- tolerance does happen.....But you will NOT go into w/d doing the same dose every day.

Not between the 1 - 300 mgs xanax range at least. (No I did not add an extra 0 )

Other people will tell you different in benzo withdrawal fourms. I wasnt prescribed 3 day either I was prescribe .5 mgs at that time and when I was Halcion after wore off in the middle of the day I would get into thrown in full blown withdrawal. Its not full blown withdrawal but you suffering anxiety like you never suffered before but halcion I was thrown in full blown withdrawal and had to eventually quite it. I basically was afraid of everything and wanted to curl up in bawl like a baby from the klonapins Everyone is different though I was talking too chick in one of the fourms I use to be in and she was really suffering. I didnt realize what was experiencing at the time until I read people's experiences on there. Some people get violent from benzos like alcohol not everyone has reacts the same. Something to be aware of if anyone is gonna use them long term. I wouldn't dismiss what other people experience just because you haven't experienced and that type of talk can be dangerous.

Withdrawal forums -- sigh I hate to say "Forums" in general are not a solid source of information.

I will give you this -- Halcion is a pretty strong benzo with a pretty short half life. I think I get where you are coming from. If you genuinely needed the triazolam (Were already legit anxious/w.e) I could see a lot of rebound anxiety.
A state you are more anxious than ever before and could easily be confused with light withdrawals.

Were you taking it in one dose a day? I would figure 2 .25 doses a day but everyone is different -- which is the last thing I have to say - perhaps your metabolism works a little different, enzymes etc.

I will take a look at that link you left and let ya know what I think and provide cross data if necessary.

More solid than what your pharmacist will tell you. I suffered so many damaging effects from big pharma I'll trust anecdotal reports over them. Im not anti benzos either just they shouldnt be taken everyday that's not how they should be used and against abusing them. Its just not worth it withdrawal is so god damn awful.

That link simply explains tolerance. Tolerance is very objective and real. Staying at the same dose per day you will never end up in W/D's -- unless you are some kind of exception to the rule. (Which you may be, that is the thing about anecdotal evidence)

I would not consider what a pharmacist tells me any kind of source either --- they are basically pez dispensers as far as im concerned.

Well im not the only one I seen many other people explain the same phenomenon. I had garbage genric brand throw me in mild withdrawal Teva green pills and the sandoz blue pills had me in a buzz. I guess its possible it was wearing off but I wouldnt dismiss new terms because its not mentioned in medical literature or not experienced by you. I get people not liking the benzo scare happening and it is legitimate publicity in my opinion a lot people are suffering from those because of irresponsible doctors and patients. Its a complicated issue with a lot nuances. A lot people are traumatized from the medical system and rightfully so and take it too extremes like pain pills I get both sides. Then you also have the side that denies all the pain that people had to go through and addiction from them because they dont like that reality.

If you are in the US all generic pills have within 05% of that the brand does. (which is obviously the amount advertised, with rare exceptions like transdermal patches)

Some of them do have different fillers/binders which could account for slightly different metabolization. ( I woulda tossed em under the tongue ).

If both were instant release formulas that is a bit odd.

I dont mean to be rude but now days you can find a group of people that agree with just about anything online.
Not dismissing your experience, for all I know the pharmacist pocketed your pills and gave you sugar one month (Triazolam is rather sought out amongst benzos). It is just highly unusual in my fairly vast experience on the subject!

Bullshit lol and yeah I know about that rule and dont think they adhere to it. I seen pictures in India and China on how that shit is produced. I dont buy it for a second you have many people reporting decling quality of even name brand drugs because its all be done overseas. Last time I got daytrana patch it was garbage and wouldnt stick to me worth shit vs the first time it was mircle drug and it wouldnt come off. Im talking about clonazepam for decling quality nit the other ones I got more or less the same genric brand name for those. Clonazepam and Adderall have been the most varied genrics I have received in my life. Out of all the genrics for Adderall I tried the best one was Global or soemthlike that it was orange worst one was the pink ones.

What's anyone gonna do about it? If the FDA worked like it should there would be a lot people sitting in prison cells for life. Right now this country is in panic mode to make it look like we're not a decling Empire.
