My hayfever is murder atm. I went out for a walk yesterday and was sneezing and streaming for a solid 2 hours after I got home. The early part of spring is always the worst for me. I've also recently moved to a new area so it's all new pollen.
Currently raining.
I always used to get hayfever worst in the mid summer when I lived in the countryside. I assume that was when the pollen count of various grasses was at it's highest.
Not surprisingly I'm rarely bothered by hayfever any more, now that I live in the 'concrete jungle' of a big city / conurbation.
I honestly cannot imagine what type of pollen would be high at present. Spring has not sprung here yet, it's as late as I can ever remember, the daffodils only came through a couple of weeks ago, and we're nowhere near any trees producing blossom yet.
I don't even think that the grass has started re-growing, although one or 2 plant species that I have in my garden, have started growing again, not too long ago.
I think when Spring finally does spring it's all going to happen very quickly, as everything will be playing catch up.. I've seen daffodils in January some other years, but it was March before I saw any this year!
We've had one or two warm sunny days in March, when it finally felt like Spring might have arrived, but otherwise it's been very cold and overcast, if not raining.
There's not even any mention of the pollen levels on the met office website, so it must be a pretty unusual type of pollen allergy that you get?
