The Dark Side of Cannabis

Prove it was 100% wrong.

Go read who Ramakrishna was.
Some people smoke, don’t have a problem, that’s fine, not telling them what to do. But I absolutely have observed it being a problem for certain people regarding psychosis and mania, including myself. It has a unique profile for inducing psychosis that I haven’t seen with other substances to the same degree. I can say this after spending thirty times in the psych ward when my condition was worse in my late teens and the first half of my twenties, having observed many similar cases in there.

That doesn’t mean people can’t smoke and be fine, but for a certain population, it’s terrible, and I get tired of the tinfoil hat “weed is totally harmless” crowd.

Abusing any drug carries a degree of risk.

Weed is less harmful in the sense you can't kill yourself directly via overdose.

Weed is still harmful, even if it is less harmful. Ask me how I know why. I took a double dose of oil, and actually could NOT sleep. I went to sleep at 11 pm and woke up at 2 am, and could not get back to sleep despite being thoroughly baked. Strange that is. Imagine that! One would presume cannabis would keep me asleep. Not true. It also makes my tinnitus worse if I overdo it, and can cause tinnitus as well as worsen it. Don't overdo it. If you are vaping stuff like rosin cart with like 750mg+ of THC, then you would take a fraction of a puff, not a full drag, or you'll be couchlocked or mattresslocked, and you will be suffering heart palpitations and a perceived shortness of breath the whole time. The only way to abort this awful feeling is to take a benzo, and we're talking either 10mg of diazepam or 1mg of clonazepam to do that.

Edibles metabolize much different through the liver. I only Smoke WEED or THC.

I will never eat that stuff again. EVER.

EVER. If I want to get that high I will just eat a normal mushroom.

I posted in the other thread by mistake. I am laughing at myself, right.

Weed today isnt that much stronger then weed i the 70's. Strains like durban poison wherre always around the 25% THC mark. Honestly id much rather durban over the 30 something % THC strains that i see. So far they have always been let downs

Whats really changed is both qualty control with the legal market and also concentrates

Weird how some people get bad reactions to it. It's hard to find strains i actually like i prefer old school strains not these mutant really high THC strains. 90's white rhino got me far more stoned then todays really high THC weed.

I like the high THCV strains that are native to Africa to. But those are really hard to get. Some durban poison or malawi does sometimes show up here though

I'd have to disagree.

I do overthink.

I love getting lost in the infinite caverns of cannabis induced thinking. It's brought out some great creative ideas, helped me differentiate right from wrong and is always entertaining.

I remember once my gf asking why I'd been sitting up on my own with tv off etc while she had gone to bed. I told her, sometimes all a man needs is to be alone with his thoughts... And high😄

Maybe I am psychotic and don't realise. But at least I'm not bored.
What no cartoons?

Sometimes weed is benign, I can have a puff and just be happy and chilled.

It can seriously lift me and take me to fantastic places at times.

But it can seriously make me feel ill, cause me intense DPDR, dissociation, and Obessivr compulsions.

Sometimes yes it’s dose, how much Terpenes and CBD/CBG make the difference between relaxation and panic.

But a lot of times it’s not.

I have smoked 1-2 grams of 20% THC over the last few days after not smoking for a couple months, as I eventually get worse side effects and no positives (but you can call this tolerance)

I’ve had literally no negatives compared to when I have smoked the same weed but with tolerance and worsening conditions causing me horrendous panic and dissociative symptoms.

I also have very fluid disabilities (ADHD, Autism) and mental illness (EUPD).

I don’t ever want to propagate fear, the mind rebounds quickly and fast if your intentional but it’s incredibly fragile too.

Overall you must fine tune the ingredients (dose, frequency, terpenes, cbd/cbg like cannabinoids) but then it’s a roll of the dice depending on your mind state and your personal life practices

Any psychedelic can definitely bring out any underlying schizophrenia -- which does usually come out in the mid teens/20s.

The 42% increase risk of stroke is still the scariest thing I have read regarding pot.

I should be one crazy bastard by now

When weed was illegal I was buying brick that no doubt supported the cartel; now I can go to where the plants are grown if I am really inclined.

I am inclined to believe this is scare tactic nonsense (Than again the confirmation bias is strong on this one)

The Cannabis Industry Has A Dirty Secret, TRASH Weed

This is one reason I've been growing my own for eight years. All organic, and I make edibles rather than smoking. Enjoying a peanut butter cookie right now-- a small one. I practice a lot more moderation now than I did as a yoot.
