How’s pregabalin, guys? It’s sold OTC around here as “Lyrica”, but I’ve never tried it. I’m a bit hesitant to try it, as with any new substance, but especially because it’s not entirely clear to me which receptors it’s acting on, and I don’t have experience with similar drugs.
I’ve tried most of the common pharmacy benzos, both on their own and mixed with alcohol. How would you describe pregabalin’s effects? Is it like Xanax? Is it more chilled? Or is it more like alcohol, where you become more social with a bit of a mood boost, but also a bit dizzy? Any chance for anxiety on this or wreckless behavior?

It's very much a GABAergic.
It's a wildly YMMV substance. Personally I find it best for use in combos, or as a potentiator (perhaps a majority of people use it in these ways). It does next to nothing on it's own, in sensible doses. Although it might provide some mild anxiety and stress relief, but not as much as benzos.
It potentiates most other Gaba substances a lot - benzos, alcohol, soma etc, all will hit a lot stronger after pregabs.
I usually split the 300mg capsules, and weigh out 100mg at a time, as that is enough for me, for about 5 hours, and then I might re-dose.
I find that it goes great with whisky, as well as with benzos.
A number of members on here, take what would be very uncomfortable doses for me, doses of between 600mg - right up to 3000mg!
Obviously it's best to start low and work up. Try 100mg on its own, you may not feel anything at home alone, but might notice a difference if out and about.
It's also the best hangover remedy that I have found so far.
It's also great for opiate w.ds. And some people mix it with opiates, for potentiation, but personally I don't really like that as a combo.
I guess it's similar to bacoflen and phenibut, it's in the same general 'family' as them, and quite similar in general effects, and recreationally these substances are most often best used as part of combos.
