Coming off Invega/Xeplion (paliperidone) injections v 12

At just under 5 months off Abilify injections I would say I am about 50% recovered. I now think I could be fully recovered between 8-9 months off injections. That's probably more realistic.

Taking each day one at a time, it's gotten far easier for me and I am no longer deeply suffering. Anhedonia has lifted significantly, restlessness is pretty much gone and I have more energy.

Paliperidone was far worse for me than Aripiprazole recovery wise, but while on them they felt similar. Abilify was a bit less intense.

what kind of improvements did you notice 7 months off?

I don't believe it's purely luck. I think taking long hot baths to increase blood circulation/induce sweating and eating lots of animal fat/protein helped me immensely.

I gave up and got very close to killing myself after invega, I understand why many are hopeless, but I implore you to keep going. Recovery and getting your life back is possible.

Then again I guess there is a luck aspect to all this. People react worse than others, and I did read somewhere that the brain can go into shock after these drugs which could stop recovery. I don't mean to be insensitive to anyone not seeing improvements after a long time off the injections.

It's honestly hard to remember. But that is when things started to get better for me. I've stated I started to improve at 6 months off invega in the past, but that was only due to a powerful LSD trip I had which cured my suicidality reviving my hope.

Invega gave me severe problems when it came to social skills and body language, at 7 months off I noticed my eye contact getting better. I also think thats when my energy levels and anhedonia started to get better. But not by much. Improvements were significant at month 8 which included my sexuality returning a lot. Month 9 I was golden. Things turned around for me very quickly.

You can go back into my post history for when I got injected with invega. I'm sure I made updates on how I was doing during each month. There were times I posted I was going to kill myself, and then I started saying I want to live again. It was a rollercoaster.

@Invegatorture When did your anhedonia lift and when did all your emotions start to come back? Did you keep revovering after the 9 months too or things came rushing back at month 9? Do you think LSD helped you?

Dude its not worth killing yourself over. I thought i was never going to get better to and now im doing great and in the best shape of my life. How the fuck are you going to get better if you kill yourself?
 
6 months, this is hell, i can watch now slightly longer YouTube videos, and i feel less foggy, playing video games, this is hell

You will get better, stay strong. Try cold showers, drinking lots of water,keto diet, eggs, blood letting ,or getting acess to drugs like rifampicin or other drugs that reduce efficacy ofinvega. @lostsoulowen is on such a drug. Ask him about his experience. At this moment watch videos, playgames...dowhatever possible to keepmind and body engaged.

Blood letting wont help. The invega is long out of his system and in anycase blood letting wouldnt help that anyway.

I stopped taking this shit, it can damage my liver, I'm trying to heal normally. Fuckin hard.

yes the emotions and motivation did come back fully. my emotions were one of the last things to come back but i also had to deal with the trauma of trusting certain people (doctors too.) i feel deep love for my cats and family. i also feel empathy fully again as i was always an empathetic person. you can see it here, i was giving kind words to @lukeflowz and encouraging to keep going.

That is damn good shape very good job. I got on a scale there earlier and im currently about 215lbs which is about 97 kilos. Ive had quite the journey weight wise since i was on invega. When i was on invega and in the hospital and also when i got out i was 225lbs of pure fat. I had no muscle tone at all it went right to my gut. The abilify was just as bad weight wise. When i got switched to latuda however i started loosing weight right away. I eventually got abit to skinny and dropped down to 170lbs (79 kilos). I actua,lly found it hard to eat on it. When i got switched to zyprexa i decided to get in shape and started lifting weights.

Also i have to say that the testosterone i got prescribed for testosterone replacement therapy has helped a fuck ton. I am convinced that invega and abilify is what fucked my test levels. One doctor was like oh it could have been the opiates but i doubt it as opiates never gave me erectile dysfunction or low sex drive. If anything they gave me higher sex drive. However i had erectile dysfunction for 2 fucking years just about when i was on invega injections then abilify injections. This is why i always tell guys in this thread to get their test levels checked

I too went from being a fat fuck on invega and abilify to being in the best shape of my life. So you can do it to. I can now work out with more then i used to weigh before i started lifting weights and way more then pre invega. I went from being 170lbs before i started lifting to now doing reps of 180lbs when im doing barbell curls. when i started doing curls i could only do 30lbs dumbbell curls so ive come along way

If i can do it anyone can literally fucking anyone

I saw an ENT as tinnitus started, back in august 2025, 6 months ago. He put me on Betaserc for 30 days and Symfona for 6 months, i have to take Symfona until the end of this month. But tinnitus dint go away..

A ENT is still your best bet to find the cause of your tinnitus imo and more importantly how it can be treated. I have permanent tinnitus from really stupidly using hammers, demolition hammers and other dumb shit without ear protection. Also i get it from ear wax but since we live in such a great country i have been waiting ages to see a ENT to get the ear wax removed. I have no idea when/if i will get to see a ENT thats how great the healthcare system in Canada is these days. Fuck sakes.

Do you take any benzos? I saw xanax being mentioned in a old article about about tinnitus. I dont know why xanax specifically but there might be a reason. Also i have known people who didnt take invega who had tinnitus and where suicidal. They said benzos helped. However you may want to avoid benzo dependency if you ever plan on going to the psych ward again as they haved a nasty habit of taking you off them. Even though you are currently in one now future one may take you off them. You dont want to have to cold turkey benzos like i did in the psych ward
