Fake coke

Just bought some super fake coke off of some old dudes in Portugal, knew it was going to be fake off the bat but whatever. If they get my €40 off of what they call a gram then I guess they need it more than me. It's fine.
Anways, it was cut with salt ofc, but it was not just salt. It was also almost definitely not coke. No numbness at all, just stimulation. Pretty sure it is some sort of weak ass cathinone.
Anyways, I'm just curious if anyone has any guesses as to what it is.

We can guess, but that's all it will be. It's not really going to help much?

Caffeine often turns up as an ingredient in fake or weak stims. You can see this on the UK drug testing website Wedinos.

It helps the fakers that it is also a white powder, and obviously it's also stimulating, so the buyer might believe there might be something worthwhile in what they've bought.

But you could have been sold €40 worth of salt and caffeine. Nice! :\

I've never heard of salt being used before as a cutting / faking agent.. That's just brutally cheap and nasty. And so obvious to detect. At least they could have had the decency to use sodium bicarbonate or something like that, along with what was possibly caffeine powder. :(

same issue... the quality is shitty for more then a year now. Seems it's all fake or cut with nasty things. Time to move on
 
Bad luck there. In the UK we're awash with cheap mid-tier stuff. £50 to £60 will get you something pretty decent but actual pure flake is harder to get IME.

I'm from UK also and the last year the shit is awfull. fake and cut.
 
In The Netherlands, friends explictly warned me not to buy cocaine cold off the street as it would almost certainly be amphetamine.

I didn't need the warning as I've never bought cocaine nor ever intend to. I'm guessing it's just something they told everyone. But here again we have the 'mystery powder' problem. Nobody can possibly say what it was. I think the important thing is that you are OK. That you see it as a €40 lesson only casts your outlook in a good light.

If you go to any tourist destination which has a reputation for drug availability, tourists will almost always be ripped off. You don't know them, you are highly unlikely to ever see them again and they are on 'home turf' so you represent the perfect target for scammers.
 
Yes, I was being stupid and irresponsible for sure. I knew it too. Was drunk ofc but still. Won't be doing that again.

There was probably some caffeine in there, and a bit of something else for sure.

Really missing that forty euros now though :(

Yeah - they watch the bars and sometime even get tip-offs from bar staff.

I've visited some very remote places and in retrospect, quite often people would try to work out if I consumed alcohol or drugs even offered free booze, smoke or whatever.

I didn't accept the offers because I don't consume alcohol (medications) but in retrospect, it COULD have been a set up. Who knows what could be in an opened bottle. By remote I mean hundreds of kilometers from the nearest law enforcement and even then, local law enforcement tend to know all the scammers and take a cut. If a tourist goes missing in the Rif mountains, who would ever know?

It's only as safe as you make it. I said no to everyone who offered anything (scam is to give then ask for money) and carefully watched places where I potentially might have purchased anything. To people living on $3/day, I WAS rich so I cottoned on to the fact that I would inevitably be the target. Sorry to sound callous, but if there is another tourist who is a lick, the scammers will scam the lick on the basis that you have made yourself a 'hard target'. But always ask what the WORST outcome could be. In Amsterdam violent crime was rare, but in some other places it seemed like all the locals had guns. In that case, split up your cash and have an emergency fund in your shoe. Maybe even have a dummy wallet to drop. Better to lose your cash than your life.

For sure, and saying no to anything and everything offered to you by strangers is definitely the best way to go about things. Especially if you're a tourist, but even if you're home. (If only I followed my own advice I would not have this embarassing post up on this website :))
What just happened to me is basically the best case scenario: got home unscathed and didn't get poisoned by whatever the hell it was I ingested. But that is not how it always goes.

Yes, you were drunk, and they saw you as easy prey. With the money they stole from you, they could go buy a gram of cocaine somewhere. The best thing to do is go to ignore the advice that was originally here.

In netherland all bricks are synthetic with procaine caffeine phenacetin levamisolz or whatever they cut it in Brabant,
Those brabant labs are rerock it till shit.
But drunken people buy it anyway, has long it numbs. it's getting downhill since a year of 2 again allmost

Also, guessing what may or may not be in anybody’s drugs is forbidden… but general discussion of the quality of drugs is fine so stick to the latter, please :)

Yep - it was just a €40 lesson on how these scammers work.

I've never really understood why anyone would seek revenge. I wouldn't carry anything illegal or place the scammer in a 'him or me' position. Because you never know. The scammer could be tooled up and/or have some friends in a car parked close by.

That was then, this is now. Walk away. Don't they say 'leading a happy life is the BEST revenge'? So don't castigate the younger you for not knowing. We all screwed up at some time.

So whats the cut that would have absolutely no stimulant effect and make you feel like you are dying? I've had a few grams of that shit off darknet vendors. Would that be levisomole?

When I told the vendor his coke "nearly killed me" (you have to exaggerate a bit) he replied "Lies, all lies and I am blacklisting you with all of my friends". I said "NO!! Anything but that"..
