Vacuum Sealers are your friend

Just a quick comment on the virtue of vacuum sealing compounds.

So there was reasonable quantity of tabs (some ALD-52, some LSD labeled white fluff, and some described as needle-point) laid on paper and acquired in 2013. They were acquired via an individual who was, back then, a well-known commodity in the world of handling such things (TMG).

And of course, they were all tested when originally acquired before storage. Based on this writer's experience, the dosage of those various tabs was approximately somewhere between 100 and 120 ug.

They have been kept vacuum sealed since they were acquired in that year. Two or three times a year one or more of the three are removed and consumed. And over the course of the subsequent years, this trend continued. In some ways it has been a test to see how long one could keep them stored and remain viable, so this is simply testimony as to how long tabs can remain potent when properly stored (vacuum sealed with 02 absorbers, in total darkness, and in a constant temperature of about 65 to 70 degrees.

And just as a follow up to the experiment, 4 tabs were consumed on NYE (of the ALD-52, laid on Pokemon print) with no tolerance at all as it had been about 6 months since I had indulged in any consumption. And suffice it to say, there has been no noticeable decline in the potency of the tabs over the course of about 12 years. Not that I expected anything less, but again, was pleasantly surprised by how fresh they seemed after all this time. It had been some time and boy, I got thwacked rather hard in a good way, of course.

And once again, I chronicle this as so often I have seen the question posed, "How long does LSD or like compounds remain potent when stored long-term?" Well, I think this should be a pretty good indication of just how long they can last when one controls for all the factors that can lead to its deterioration, and you started out with quality compounds to begin with.

Sidenote: Just an observation or two regarding ALD-52.

Over the years, I had tinkered with many lysergamides as they were sent to market in the last 20 or so years, such as LSZ, AL-LAD, ETH-LAD, ALD-52, and so on. I am aware of course, of the differences between many of them in terms of their effects when compared to LSD-25, and have had plenty of time to deal with all the above with no tolerance and/or large gaps between experiments. And in this case, some things really stood out to me in terms of effects.

First of all, the color palette related to ALD-52 is very different when compared to LSD, as an example. In many ways, I have found that ALD-52 is much "brighter" and much more "pastel" in terms of perception of color and visual distortion. Almost like once it kicks in, both your internal experience as well as your external experience are very much overwhelmingly "bright", and everything simply appears bright and beautiful, although the visuals are less defined externally and less detailed. I have had this realization many other times, but in light of the fact that I just had a rather large experience with ALD on NYE, it all stood out to me with greater significance.

Also, for me ALD is highly energetic, and seems to last longer from start to finish than LSD 25. So while not uncomfortable, it is very stimulating and has very long legs. Even 12 hours after ingestion I could still feel the "push" of the compound, if you will. The only reason I got any sleep at all about 13 hours later was because I keep some Flubromazalam around as landing gear post trip, and even then, I slept for a few hours and woke up still feeling that push, even after taking a MG of Flubro. So there's that. Also, ALD-52 seems less "spiritual" and slightly less "cerebral" than LSD, which is one thing I like less about ALD in general. However, under the right conditions, it can be less alienating and isolating as a comparable LSD trip, so I believe you can remain somewhat more functional with ALD when necessary. Also worth noting is that in some ways, it reminds me of AL-LAD in terms of the visuals and that "brighter, pastel color palette", which AL-LAD does have in common with it, as well as the stimulation and somewhat less cerebral nature of a proper AL-LAD experience. And of course, the big difference is that ALD-52 lasts FAR longer, of course, than AL-LAD does. But I did notice that there were more similarities than differences in general. The obvious difference, again, is the duration of AL-LAD which is very compressed by comparison.

Anyway, again, just thought I'd add this to the pile for all the people who are curious as to how long one can store these compounds properly and just how long they can last and keep their potency. Somewhere off in the future, I'll be sampling some of the needlepoint or fluff that's on ice, and I am expecting similar results, as I have no reason to believe otherwise. Even 13 years later...

They have been a good pal since what 2003ish? Old school but still in school with new students learning as always. I personally love a good quality amber borosilicate vial for substances like LSD crystal due to their high chemical resistance, low thermal expansion, and inert properties, which minimize leaching or reactions.

These vials (typically 1–4 dram size, 4–15ml) are made from Type I borosilicate glass, ideal for acids or light-sensitive compounds as they withstand temperatures from -70°C to 500°C without cracking. Amber borosilicate variants (with black "duct tape" provide UV protection, reducing photodegradation to lumi-LSD (an inactive oxidative product formed by UV exposure).

The plastic top (polypropylene screw cap with PTFE liner) seals airtight, preventing oxygen ingress that could form iso-LSD (inactive epimer from pH/oxygen shifts). Almost light they could last eternally if one takes proper precautions, chances of decade plus (conservative estimate) Lovely treasure awaiting you is all but a sure safe bet (high 90 percentile) (and maybe another trusted eye) on a side note I miss those lab grade filter paper(s) (10 whatman circles seems about right :)

You are correct though, so many teks for all types of environments/mediums. Most seem to think the opposite.

Sounds good if you have the time - although I've had acid in the pages of a book for 15 years with no loss in potency so I dunno if it's worth the effort. Maybe if you're planning on using it 50 years from now?
